I've been using snus for about 5 years and really had no gum problems. I recently bought a roll of odens cold extreme white and it seems to irritate my gums way more than other snuses. Do you think this has to do with the mint or just the quality of the snus?

I think it's probably a combination of the menthol in the mint snus with the effect of a dry white portion which I have always found harsher on my gums than an original portion (you do realise that you're supposed to rehydrate them with saliva on your tongue before putting them "up there"?).
Also the very strong ones tend to have a higher pH value which can give you more gum grief than the average.
I'd say try re-hydrating them - and if that doesn't help then just put it down to experience and move on to the next brand.Squeezyjohn

What SJ said......also with that high pH comes more free nicotine which can also irritate the gums.
I find it is salt, dryness, and high Nicotine/pH that are usually behind gum irritation. When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers
