About the ban on mailing tobacco in Us

I was reading Mr. unloadingzones post and I don not know if oyu guys read my reply.

    This happened with online gaming.

the crooked government including the online gaming act to the american port deal act so it would not face opposition and it passed.

now what online gaming and the American port act have in common is beyond me but theres american politics for ya.

Anyways, a couple of sites closed down until the major sites realized there was a loop hole.

it was illegal for BANKS to allow tranfers to online casinos, not for you to, so they made it where everytime you use your credit card or bank transfer where it would show up as something else other than _____gaming.com or .net.

this was there way around it.

I think no matter what happens we will not suffer.

there are always ways around stupid laws such as these.

so keep your heads up guys and email your congressmen.

And another thing us americans should think about.

Only in America ......do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

Grim, at the risk of sounding like an a__ kisser, you're amazing!

Not only are you back, but badder than ever. They sure cured whatever ailed you (or at least found the bug).

What loopholes do you foresee in the laws? From the sound of it, the online gaming solved it. Is the "ship it to a business" going to work you think? Does it have to be a merchant?

I did send my form letter to Northerner, not too much help, just a hopeful "hope things work out for you but we can't lower the price" type response. Maybe we have to press them a bit. Any ideas?

I would say that first we need to pay attention and keep everyone informed about the progress of this bill/law.

Im sure Mr. Unloadingzone will galdy keep us up to date.

Then see, if this passes, to what extent it reaches.

I would imagine that any tobacco shop will gladly except your business in getting you snus. Sure youll have to pay a little extra, but its worth it until SM is available to you. But it seems its either Catch or General. So any variation you would like is nul and void unless you order it.

I have had a local liquor store owner over hear me asking if they would carry johnnie walker gold, he came up and said they would gladly order it for me.

Business' will order whatever you want, as long as its legal, to generate revenue.

So keep your heads up guys, this isnt the end, we just have to become smarter.

Like they said in the movie Vendetta. People shouldnt be afraid of their governments, Governments should be afraid of their people.

Just think smarter than them. and you win.

I went into my local cigar/pipe shop yesterday and asked if they could get SM products in the store, or even order them for me (for a fee, of course), and they told me that it wasn't possible because smokeless is in a different tax category than cigars and pipe tobacco.

My local tobaaco store said it was ok.

So did my local shell station owner.

said I would have to order by roll though.

Came out to about 5 bucks a can wihtout a roll discount.

So it was about 50 bucks. im sure your local cigar store could, its seems you may just have to pay more. but im not a business owner. Thats just my opinion because i went to our local cigar shop, they do not carry smokeless, just cigar and cigarettes and cigarette paraphenllia.

Besides, i am not going to worry about it until i see what happens.

I would think certain websites would just take our money and we would just have to hope customs doesnt catch it like our austrailian and candian friends have to do.

Also, think about this, anytime somethign like this occurs what always happens? A black market springs up.

there is always a way around laws, something I found out getting into trouble as a a youth.

So dont worry guys. relax and just enjoy this.

          We shall overcome.

And to be honest, the american government has never told me what to do.

the spirit of america is to be free of tryanny and to pursue happiness.

I like to embodie that dream and will do so my whole life.

If what my governemtn imposes on me infringes on my beliefs then i ignore it.

besides, you are only breaking the law if you get caught.

I'm very fortunate that Triumph snus is available in my area. However, I wish there were stores that sold General.

Assuming this stupidity becomes law  (Stupidity = Government so it probably will) what American dips would you fall back on. I know redman has very low TSNA, but what about the others. Prepare to kiss some more freedoms away.

I would definitely go back to Longhorn. Cheap, low TSNAs, and not bad for the $1 a can in IN.

If and when it does go into law, you can bet there will be a run on BuySnus and Northerner before the affected date!! I personally will be ordering rolls of my favs so I'm covered until I find another way to get it. 8) Like software developers say, "There's always a back door and, I can't tell you where I put it."
