Are the bags that portions come in biodegradable, i keep on sticking them down the loo, a lot of them. Will they block the darn thing up. One reason why im now on the los but cant use it round the clock

Yes, I think so. I filled up a gopher hole in my back yard with used portions. A year later it looks like dirt. As an added bonus the gopher left town.

PP uses old portions to feed worms that he uses for his birds.......there are some crazy pictures of the worms on the site somewhere if you care to search for it

Hello. Quick question regarding snus pH. My only retailer does not refridgerate there general snus? It's months ahead of the best buy date. Is this lack of cool temps enough to drastically reduce pH and in term reduce free nicotine delivery? Or is it in my head? Feels like I'm not getting nicotine out of it. Portions are fairly moist still. Concerned?

That is a good question and one that maybe only Matt (a member here who used to work as a chemist for Swedish Match) could answer definitively. Anecdotally, all I can say is that after a couple of years in the freezer I don't notice any real change in the nic level, maybe slightly but not enough to cause a concern or to make me need to double up on portions (or prisses).

Now I know yours were not frozen but at the same time they are not 2-3 years old like some of mine.......regardless, I think you are going to be just fine. Especially if they are still pretty moist.
If they taste OK I would expect them to to have the same punch as fresh

Thanks for the reply. Oddly I was tobacco free for over 10 years and decided to get back into nicotine and found snus to be the cleanest and safest delivery. I guess my concern was after that time of abstinence, I figured a portion would provide a good nic hit like buzz which has yet to happen. So I assumed the snus had lost almost all the free nicotine. I do get a very mild relaxing feeling, which is what I was after, after taking a very stressful position at work. I tend to use two portions at once to get said effect. Maybe I should go to a higher nicotine product. I currently use general wintergreen white portions.

General Snus is supposed to be refrigerated where it is sold. If your local shop is not refrigerating the product they are not acting in accordance with standards for US sale of snus. I would advise contacting SMNA about this and supplying them the name of the retailer.

I've seen stories about this on Reddit and usually SM will have that areas rep remedy the problem. They probably are not refrigerating it to save counter space.

Good advice......I would definitely contact SM.....however, I would not try to get them to drop the hammer too hard on the merchant where you bought it.......otherwise you might remedy the problem by having to find a new place that carries it
