Quitting strong snus snus (for a while at least) - looking for tips.

So I've officially run out of snus yesterday. I've decided not to buy any more and quit for the next few months (or forever depending on how the journey goes).
I've been snusing for about 3 years now, and I've been using the really strong 43mg snus (I would use between 120-200mg a day). Even the first day of coming off has been a struggle. I'm having terrible withdrawls and It's difficult to deal with. Any tips for quitting would be appreciated.

    edit:
I thought it'd be interested to post how I'm feeling on each day. Here's my day 1 summary. Feeling incredibly agitated, can't focus on a task for longer than 20-30 min. Generally feeling pissed off, don't have time for other people's bullshit. Day seem's to be dragging on, I have constant thoughts of ordering more snus or buying some smokes.

    Cheers.

I've tried other alternatives, mostly nicorette chewing gum. Not my thing. I'm used to a high dose of nicotine and their products just don't deliver. I want to go cold turkey. I've done it before with alcohol and cigarettes so I know I can do it, but the dosage I've become accustomed to is making it really hard.

Then go back to the cigarettes first.

I'm thinking that it may be best to simply use a regular 8mg snus. It may be tough at first but its way better than smoking again. Whatever you do is going to be a challenge. I think the lower dose is probably the best way to proceed. Good luck
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

I agree with PP, a little less nicotine to taper off may be a more comfortable alternative. Even 15-20 mg portions would be good for a while.......baby steps!

This is what I've heard people have success with.

Downgrade your nicotine intake. Go 43mg/g > 22mg/g > 16mg/g > 8mg/g > 4mg/g (minis) > nicotine free (products like Onico, just to get past the felling of having a pouch in the lip)
