Newbie ...Should I stick with Snus?

let me start by saying I dont have a nicotine addition currently.

I have a few friends who use Snus, and i got intersted in trying it after doing alot of reading on here about it and reading about the potential benefits of nicotine.
I have an office job so a stimulant for focus and relaxation is appealing.

Its been about a week, using the general mini portions a few times a day.
The results have been mixed, usually a rushing sensation, a slight buzz, sometimes jittery as a result of an slightly empty stomach.

Does it get better? Did it immediately relax you when you started? Should I continue to use, is it worth using in moderation like I use my caffeine?

First, welcome to the forum mate! Glad you are here.

My 2 cents worth of advice is that if you do not have a nicotine addiction I would definitely not seek one out. It is expensive and it will be with you for a very long time and will be very hard/uncomfortable to shake.

To answer your question, as your body gets used to the nicotine the "buzz" will subside. As far as relaxing you, I would not consider nicotine as a sedative. Most often when people refer to snus as relaxing they mean it has fed their need for a fix.

Of all the vices you can pick up snus is pretty low risk. If you are coming from cigarettes, snus is the way to go and a far FAR better alternative to smoking. However, it is expensive and will tie you to it for life.

Don't get me wrong, I love snus, I have one in now as I type. But I came to snus already with a nicotine addiction looking for a better option. My advice is to really think through developing a snus addiction.

Regardless of what you decide, we are here and will do our best to answer any questions you have

    Cheers

I Totally agree with snusdog, if you don't have an addiction to nicotine, don't start one, it is a hard habit to break.

Welcome to Snuson. Please follow snusdogs advice and don't start.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Also agree with others. If you don't have an addiction, don't start one.
