    Skruf Stark Portion

I was wondering whether there was any difference in taste between Skruf Stark Portion vs Skruf Blackline? I really enjoy the taste of Skruf blackline but don't need that strong of a hit.

    Thanks for any input.

Well I really like Skruf Stark Los, so would you say the Stark Portion is pretty much identical in flavor to Los?

I would say so. Why not try a can or two on your next order.

Yea, I certainly will. I just hate only ordering a couple cans of something because if I really like it, I wish I had scooped a roll. I don't like to order more than once every 2 months.

I will probably grab some in the next order come March. But I really wish the blackline wasn't extra strong. IMO they turned down the Bergamot and turned up the Rose Oil in it versus what I gather from their Los product. And honestly, the taste is pretty glorious!

I guess what I'm basically trying to figure out is whether there's more Bergamot taste in the original/stark portion than in the Blackline. Either way, I'm still going to try them, but I've become rather curious after finally busting out my can of Blackline today. It really is delicious, just to strong for my tastes.

EDIT: One more question. On snuscentral it says that the Stark version is 100% ecological tobacco. Does that mean it's organic tobacco or something?

I’m not over keen on bergamot but I love Skruf Stark or original portions. I love rose oil in a snus. I don’t know the answer to your question about organic tobacco. Why not email this address...

Well I just found out by looking at snusdirect's ingredient list that Skruf Stark Portion does use organic tobacco.. which now leads me to another question!

I've heard that the ecological line of Skruf lacked significantly in the rose oil department. Does the ecological tobacco now used in Skruf's Stark Portion have a prominent rose oil taste or is it lacking?

I don’t think the rose oil is as prominent as it used to be.

I recently went through a can of the Skuf Stark Original Portions and found them to be lacking in flavor generally, and could not taste Rose Oil at all.....my taste buds may not be the best I'll admit. I do (did) quite like the BlackLine op's but that, sadly, is soon to be history.....

Skruf Stark is tobacco taste, bergamot, and rose oil for a floral/sweet taste. Blackline simply takes out the citrus.

Well I finally got my hands on skruf stark in white portion last week. I definitely don't dislike it, but I miss that dominant rose presence of blackline. Skruf stark is more of just a tobacco centric snus to me with some citrus that comes out if you juice it up a bit. Anyways, I don't like it enough to keep it so I shall make some trades!

Imperial Tobacco is the parent company of Skruf (pronounced 'Skroof' and Knox brands of Swedish snus. Skruf is probably the second most popular snus brand in Sweden and one of the top most popular snus brands in the growing American market.

Skruf was started by two life long friends who saw an opportunity to make a big future for a small product - Jonas Engwall and Adam Gillberg.

Life long friends and entrepreneurs, Jonas and Adam, sat down in 2001 to discuss how they could use their skills gained in the world of finance to build a business in an area they were passionate about.
