Are they any Denture wearers (specifically UPPERS) that use LOOSE Snus, or have at least tried as such? I wear a full upper denture and am interesting in trying out some loose Snus. But before ordering any, I was curious if using Loose Snus while wearing upper dentures (be they full or partial) was just too much of a pain (or whatever) for denture wearers.

Wouldn't hurt to try it out, I think. I usually use portions at work and during the day but use loose in the evenings at home. If you found that it was messy with your dentures you could just take them out - certainly the missus knows what you look like without your teeth

I have received a few cans of Loose Snus just the other day, but for the time being I have them in the freezer.
Funny thing, I ordered one can of Kronan PORTIONS and got it in LOOSE, so now I have four varieties to check out - the other 3 are Grovsnus, Ettan, and Göteborgs Rapé, which I DID order. Since Kronan is the cheapie, I will try it first.
If loose Snus works out for me, I too, am gonna save it for home use.Comment

haven't tried Kronan, but the others are nice. Göteborgs Rapé is one of my favourites - such a nice peppery flavour

I just discovered that the Kronan I got is pouches. I guess since it had no ashtray lid, I assumed it was loose. Well well, Northerner did get the whole order right this time after all!
I got the Göteborgs Rapé mini-pouches with my first order ever of Snus (it came with the Swedish Match Snus Range "Try-out box") and did like it, so in addition to the can of loose, I also got a can of pouches, but this time the Large Portions;
I remember one day I had a Göteborgs Rapé mini-pouch in my mouth and forgot it was there when I begin to eat a Hot Dog - when I bit into that hot dog I also bit into the Göteborgs Rapé mini-pouch - could not figure out why my hot dog was so doggone peppery at first, and my head felt as if it went far above my shoulders...lol... the Giraffe feeling... hehehe.Comment

Well today is the first day I tried the LOOSE stuff, and I must say, I can get used to this, but I thought I was dealing with a fluffy and flakey chocolate cake: MESSY. :roll:
As for molding a pris for the mouth, I have a tool for that. How anyone can mold a pris with their fingers is beyond me... perhaps that would be easier after the can of Snus is out of the refrigerator for awhile.
It is certainly a Stimulating Thirst Quencher, too. No sleeping or Gatorade now. :P
No problem where dentures are concerned, only some small debris wound up there - very small.
For sure, some of this loose snus gets swallowed, but I think it was the milk I drank this morning that explains the stench of the air biscuits I floated today.
You know that when a person can't stand even the smell of their own air biscuit, it's very bad. Oh well, at least none of those biscuits were buttered or soaked with Snus Juice. :wink:
Now, as for getting Loose Snus out of the mouth, does anyone know how to adjust the suction levels on vacuum cleaners??? :lol:Comment

Well, if it's any encouragement, I hated my first tin of loose as well - messy intractable stuff that just got everywhere. Gotta make a nice firm pris and leave it alone. At least for myself I found that I was forever fussing with it, poking my lip, trying to sort it out with my tongue, etc. It just made things worse. If you've got an icetool, I find the best way to make a pris is to fill the thing up and then compress it snugly, leaving a slight gap with your covering finger for air, just until it packs so that a bit of the snus juice rises to the tip. Any less and it's mush, any more and it's overpacked. I then just stick it in place and try to forget about it. I forced myself to finish the first tin on the "eat it to save it" frugal lessons of my grandmum and by the end of it was actually getting to enjoy the lös vibe. oh yeah, and taking it out isn't so bad once you get the knack of keeping the pris mostly together - I just pinch lightly on either side and most of the time I can get it out in one piece.

Thanx for the tips, Zero.
BTW, I started using the pris tool at a different angle (staright up vertically) to insert the loose snus in my mouth, and that has made a world of difference - the Snus stays together better, and it evens comes out more whole when I take it out. I am enjoying the loose stuff immensley[sp?];
I've been using GrovSnus Loose, and gonna hit the Ettan next, then Göteborg Rapé (I have the pouches opened of this brand at this time).
My computer is in the repair shop the past few days - hopefully I'll get it back by the end of the week - I'm using another computer at this moment (sheesh, awkward keyboard).
Keep On Snusing (and Chooglin' as CCR would sing )
