I ended up ordering some Skruff Cranberry WP, Catch Licorice WP, Offroad Licorice WP, and Göteborgs Rapé Hjortron WP. So far, I have only tried the Offroad Licorice WP. It tasted great but the flavor didn't seem to have as much longevity as I'm used to with General Mint. Still, it feels like an upgrade from my what I've been using. I hope the others are even better!
Ok, tried the Göteborgs Rapé Hjortron and like it more than than the original flavor for sure. It might be a tad sweet, but if so, that sweetness faded very quickly. I will have to keep it on rotation with the Offroad for the next couple of days.
I found the licorice flavor in the Catch Licorice faded very quickly and then I was left with something that just tasted like Ettan to me. No bueno. I also found the Skruff Cranberry quite unremarkable.
I really want to like that cranberry, but it gets bitter to me within a a couple of minutes of putting one in. It is tolerable if I'm nursing a drink but less so if not.
I like licorice but would only want to try another if it is sweeter than the Offroad. I do not want any strong portions. In fact, I'm looking at mini-portions with nic around the 5mg mark - maybe even 4 if I get some General Mini Mint.
That said, I ordered a roll of Jakobsson's Mini Melon. I have a sweet tooth and love melon and really should have tried this one first.
@Jangles - Great! So which was your favourite licorice brand in the end?

So far, I've only had Offroad White Portion and Catch White Portion. I did not like the Catch. I felt like the Licorice flavor faded extremely quickly (about 2 minutes) and that I was left with tobacco that tasted just like Ettan, which I'm not a fan of. I don't like the smoke flavor that is added. I imagine that I will end up trying other brands of licorice flavored Snus and don't mind now that it isn't sweet.
Got my Jakobsson's Mini Melon today. It's not unpleasant and I will finish it but I don't think that I'll order it again. I like the mini pouch size. They are MUCH easier on my gums! I will try to stick to this format, but perhaps with flavors that I prefer - so far mint and licorice. I might retry more traditional flavors like bergamot again in this smaller size.
As for the actual flavor of the melon Snus? Tastes like Juicy Fruit chewing gum.
I don't know why, but it taste like a less sweet version of now or later candy, just without the sweetness.
I miss the burn, when I switch flavors from mint to any flavor.
I think it's me though, the burn let's me know it's working.
Consider Jacobson Flader, mild sour apple fravor that fades to a berry like taste, then tobacco.
Sorry Ettan didn't work for you .
Are you in the US?
So I had an urge to retry General OP today and now that might be my favorite >.>
You know, I've seen quite a few people, myself included start with Mint or flavored Snus, and eventually try the basics and love them.
I've been doing my best to rotate between:
Mint,floral/fruit, traditional flavor Snus, in a attempt to not get burnt out on one flavor or style of Snus.
It's pretty common that people gravitate towards traditional flavors.
It's here! Catch Collection Fresh//Peppermint. The 2nd in a line of 4 products by Swedish Match for 2009! The first release was Catch Collection Chill//Mint...
So I am going to try out Monkey's recommendation and organize the snus I have tried based upon the taste category so to speak and in preference order...
