    Please help--seeking a specific snus...

..and yes, that snus is Camel Frost.

First off, let me say that this is my first post here.

Second, I've been using snus for quite awhile, and enjoy it a lot.

My wife has been using it for several months as well and it has helped her kick cigarettes.

The problem is, we've moved. We were in Virginia and could get Camel snus easily. It is all she likes. She cannot take the Swedish snus I use.

We bought up a good supply of it before we relocated out of state, and I assumed I'd be able to order it online somewhere, but cannot find it.

She's running out and I really need to find some Camel snus. Is there ANY place to get it online that anyone knows of?

I really appreciate any help. I've ordered all kinds of Swedish snus that seem like they would be similar enough to the Camel stuff for her, but they all make her feel ill.

Neither of us want her to go back to smoking, but she was a heavy smoker and the Camel snus has really helped her get over cigs.

Thanks to anyone who can offer any help.

I'm not sure where to find Camel snus, but welcome to the forums! Has your wife tried some of the more feminine brands of Swedish snus like Mocca or Vertigo?

At this point, to my knowledge, Camel Snus is not available for purchase online anywhere. The only advice I can give you is to go to www.snuscamel.com and register, then you can fill out an email reminder which will notify you once Camel Snus becomes available in your area.

Where did you move to? If you can get Triumph mint, that could be an acceptable substitute for Camel Frost.

          Thanks for the quick replies!

Well, to Snusophile, I have actually tried to register at snuscamel twice and for some reason have been unable to. I get a message along the lines of "We apologize, but are unable to process your request for registration at this time." I dunno....

To RobsanX, please do tell me more about the brands of snus you mentioned. That was something I meant to ask in the original post: is there a Swedish snus anyone knew of that might suffice as a replacement for the Camel stuff she is so fond of.

I never got on with the Camel stuff much myself. Well, I should say my snus experience actually began with the Camel stuff, but once I discovered the real deal, all of the Camel varieties just tasted like candy to me. (Not to disparage anyone--such as my wife--who likes the Camel brand snus.)

Ah. Another possibility. Thank you! I moved to upstate New York. Is the Triumph domestic? I'm going to go search for some now. I really appreciate everyone's help.

Triumph is domestic, but it's made by Swedish Match for Lorillard to American tastes. It's pretty sweet, but not quite as sweet as Camel. It's mostly in the southern states, but I think it's sold in Ohio also, I'm not sure about New York. I've had both, and I think anyone that likes Camel will like Triumph mint also.

Any of the mini portions may be acceptable to her. Most of the mini portions are about the same size as the Camels, but with much better flavor. Like Wise, Mocca, and Catch. Stay away from the strong minis at first. The nicotine content might be why she is having trouble with the full portions.

I've never had Camel, so I can't compare... However, my wife likes Mocca pomegranate and licorice, and Vertigo Bahama Velvet... Here are some links:

If you can get triumph in your area, I'll trade you and send you Camel if you send me Triumph. I've never tried it and would like to sometime. Let me know. Cheers.

I started off with Camel and I really dug the frost flavor but after a while it go tto be too much for me.

If you can find Triumph (Don't think it is local for you) the mint is very similar in flavor but not as over powering AND comes in a real 24 portion can!

I haven't found any place that sells them online but I live really close to Georgia and I have made runs down there to get some.

If you can't find any let me know. I have a few mint in the freezer and I would be glad to trade with you for another portion tin of another kind.

Also, not sure how long it will last but I know I can go back and buy probably 10 more tins of mint for $1.49 each.

                        Let me know!

If your wife loves the Camel, buy a can of that and have her try it!

Ah, I overlooked that. That site is terrible to find anything on. Microscopic links on the side with a difficult to read color.
