Well, today's the day! I got all three can in the mail. Took a little over a week from buysnus.com, and about 4 days from getsnus.com
I have to say, It's a whole new ball game.
I've been a pretty heavy Camel smoker for the last three years. I've never dipped. A few weeks ago I bought a tin of Camel's spice snus. It was interesting. More importantly, it seemed like the kind of thing I could get into.
I like to research things a lot in my free time, so I checked out some sites, and some forums, and settled on my first order of real Swedish snus. I ordered a can of General portion, for the unflavored try, and a can of Offroad Coffee Vanilla, for the flavored.
Today I tried both.
After my first portion of General I can see that it's something I'm going to have to get used to; an acquired taste for sure. I've never really tasted true tobacco before. I'm still not sure if I like it, but I'm a team player so I'm gonna try the whole can before I make any decisions.
The Offroad was a little disappointing. I was expecting more of a full on flavored flavor that I got with the Camel spice than the General. It tasted more like the General portion with only a slight hint of coffee and vanilla. Not as powerful as I had thought it would be.
I also got a can of the General Wintergreen white portion (from getsnus.com
s trial offer), which I'm trying right now. Immediatly I felt immersed in the wintergreen flavor, a token to what I was actually looking for. I'm just worried that I'm going to tire of the minty flavor.
Does anyone have any suggestions for my next order? I had seen a few cranberry flavored things, and I was intrigued. However, if it's more like the Offroad I have, then I might not be so inclined. I think I'm looking for more of a flavor besides pure tobacco.
