Snus and properly prepared (read: with lemon !olive) martini

    Wow. I just did it.

Granted, it was a Taboca portion (which I'm aware not everyone likes), with its fairly heavy citrus flavor, and the way I make Martinis isn't exactly the same as everyone else's (I squeeze a lemon wedge into the mix, and use the classical method of garnishing with a lemon twist instead of an olive), but wow.

    It was AWESOME.

The lemon flavor from the martini set off the flavor of the Taboca perfectly.

If anyone else has tried this (or if they haven't, they should... ) or any other mixed drinks that go well with snus, what are they; what varieties, etc?

[EDIT]: Oh, and my apologies for the subject line. Couldn't fit the word not in there, so I used a boolean. >.>

I might be wrong, but there may be a post like this elsewhere, but when I have an "adult beverage" with my snus, it's usually a whiskey, just because I guess that's what I prefer to drink when I drink.

I'm partial to Jameson, Johnnie Walker (usually black label since I'm no moneybags...though green is nice when I can get it; very "outdoorsy"), or Glenlivet if I'm lucky enough to find it for a good price. (The tax free liquor store on base is a godsend)

pcguy...you're the only person outside of the town I grew up in who ever mentioned a dark and stormy! I thought it was an Annapolis thing, since no one I've ever asked knew what it was!

            dark and stormy:

2 oz Gosling's® Black Seal rum
            8 oz ginger beer
            wedge of lime

Pour rum over ice, add ginger ale, and stir. garnish with lime wedge.
            enjoy.

The dark and stormy is a traditional bermuda originated cocktail, perfect to showcase a high quality dark rum. The quality of ginger beer makes a large impact on drink taste. Barritt's ginger beer is best. Sometimes I like to add a hit of dark cane sugar syrup to spice it up a bit.

i really dont like to eat or drink with snus in (i spit my juice as well), but i really found gotland green and a gin and tonic to be very complimentary. i still prefer to enjoy each on their own though...

The only snus I actually like better with a beverage is Gotland Gul with straight black french press coffee. The citrus goes well with the coffee, and the coffee makes the snus taste sweeter.
