    Klondike Snus Update

Just to let all know who are interested

Klondike Snus is available from the Thompson Cigar Comany. (thompsoncigar.com)

I received a magazine from them, as i do monthly, and its a featured product from them.

They are selling it as a buy 2 sleeves get the 3rd for free at a cost of $24.99 for a total of 3 sleeves in Cherry, Original, Straight and Wintergreen.

HOWEVER, they consider a sleeve as 5 cans, so thats only 15 cans as compared to the typical 10 can sleeves which would be 30.

So it looks like this comes in portion plus standard dip cuts (long and fine) might be worth a try.

My questions though would be how this compares to other los versions.

I just hope its not the same as its american counter part flavors.

All of those would just be iffy for me because i find american flavors such as those to be too sweet.

And also if they are intending for top lipping?

If someone gets any let us know.

I've sent them multiple emails asking for more information on their products but they don't seem to want to reply. MrUnloadingzone, if you read this I'd like to know if you've heard back from them.

I actually like Straight quite a bit (as a dip). But I think I will be passing on this stuff. I'll use my snus until I get the occasional itch for a dip. WHen that occurs, I reach for the can of cope or can of Skoal Straight I tend to keep tucked away in my fridge..

No, thats a lie. I might try some straight fine cut snus. could be interesting.

They sell the Klondike Lon Cut Wintergreen at a store here in LaGrange.

Its just like a long cut dip would be but maybe a little finer.

This one is definately a lower lipper, but i would be interested in the fine cut and pouches.

Anyone who tries this stuff let us know how it is.

Grim, I nominate you to be the first Klondike reviewer since you know where to get some. It's a pity you can't find retailers on their website and they don't seem to want to email me back.

                      Well, Klondike Snus
I had to try it, but I am sure glad I went in with some friends at work who dip and have been trying my Swedish snus, because this really resembles American dip.

 Cherry Blast Pouches - start out mellow and then as 1 friend put it ( Tastes like cherry syrup ) These Are way way too sweet for my liking.

 Wintergreen Pouches - taste similar to Skoal wintergreen (which I used on occasion before I quit smoking and switched to Snus.) Now I had 2 people try these along with me and both use Grizzly and Skoal. There remarks were that the flavor was long lasting but It didn't seem to have the nicotine.

 Peppermint Blast Pouches - Not much to say except that they seam like a strong after dinner mint.

I have tried the Peppermint and Wintergreen Long cut, and they taste the same. As yet I have not tried the Straight, maybe in a couple of days.

Conclusion = If you like (sweet) American style dip, You may like them
One fellow told me that these definitely don't have the nicotine hit your Swedish Snus does. Now I would tend to agree with him. While I did manage to trade away the Cherry and Wintergreen, I kept the Peppermint Blast because I like the taste of after diner mints.

Tasting these was a big let down because I guess I was expecting more! I think if something were to happen that I could no longer get Swedish snus. I WILL PROBABLY JUST QUIT.

I sure am glad I have my Mocca +, Skruf stark, Nick & Johnny reg, & more to fall back on.

Yeah, I really don't see the point in theses. Why would someone switch from dip to this when it's essentially the same thing.

The spitless factor can be a big draw away from American dip to snus.

Maybe, but Klondike is marketed as being a product meant to be used exactly as dip is uses. Hence, bottom lipping with lots of saliva.
