I just ordered a sample box from buysnus.com it was the all loose sampler. My question is do you think that this is a good way to start with snus?

its a great way to start trying the different flavors.. But it depends on your background a little too. Do you smoke / dip?. Snus is not dip. Immediately discard any preconceived notions you have about snus being like dip. Are you doing this to stop smoking and have never used oral tobacco? Portions may be the way to go. Have you ever used tobacco at all? In short, its a good way to start but it depends on what you want out of snus too.
Welcome to the forum & Welcome to the wonderful world of snus!

I usually use portions just so I don't have to wash my mouth out. The spitless factor is one of the biggest selling points of snus for me. Its just so much more convinent than either smoking or dipping. The dosages are pretty customizable too in portions (minis/regular/sterk) but not as much as loose obviously. I think you'll find something you like. If nothing else, at least you should get a broad range of the different flavors offered in snus. Keep us posted on what you get and what you like. For some oddity we like that kind of stuff lol. 8)

Los snus definitely has a learning curve to it. I'd suggest using it in private until you are able to manage it in your upper lip.
I made the mistake of bringing Los to work when I first started it. Without even knowing it, I had been speakling to customers all day lookin like I had brushed my upper deck with a turd
After some trial and error, I am able to do the same things with a pris of los as I am with a portion (move it around w/ my tongue, etc)
I have some pics of different methods in a few of the threads in the Tips/Tricks forum.
You will need to find what works for you. For me, if I make it too small, it just flattens out and runs downward. Too long and it melts off the back end near my molars. Also, the more you use it, you will find that your upper lip actually forms a pocket of sorts which holds your snus in place.
Feel free to hit me up when your snus arrives. I'll be more than willing to help out any way I can. Also, a quick look at Zero's video on how to hand-bake a pris will be very helpful. If you dn't want to take the time to hand-bake, check out the thread (also in tips/tricks) titled "the pinch method".
Hope that helps a bit

Dang, Xobe - you beat me to it. Anyway, mb, welcome to the forum, and no, I don't think los snus is a bad way to get into snus if you've dipped before. The key to los in public, like Xobe said, is proper portion size and basically not playing with it a whole lot. It's not like dip that you can suck juice out of or poke with your tongue for a bit more flavor. Yet. You'll get to that point, but until you do, just practice your handbaking technique and ordering a prismaster isn't a bad idea until you decide whether or not you like los. If you do like it, I highly recommend an Icetool, seems kind of expensive and unnecessary, but once you've used one, you won't go back.

Welcome and shure, the Los sampler is a good way to expeirience snus. The Roda Lacket, Gotborgs Prima Fint and Ettan are some of the easiest snus's to hand bake out of any snus from anywhare. The Ettan Los is my favorite snus out of any snus (portion or Los). It's not hard to understand why It has stood the test of time (It was the first snus manufactured and sold to the general public back in 1822). It's as close to pure, salty, tobacoey, goodness as you will get. All the rest of the snus's in the sampler box are good in there own way.
Oh and bye the way, I prefer to handbake my snus. IMHO, it brings out the best in the Los. I also alwayse carry a handkercheif to wipe my hands afterward.
