    "Turkey in the straw" Old timey american song.

    Everyone knows this song. I've been learnin' it on my banjo so decided to look up some youtube videos. Listen to this one, it has lyrics about snus at 1:15. The song dates back to the 1800s slaves, but this version is from 1942.

        We use this song in England for our barn dance bands - it's probably the best known american tune over here.

          That's crazy. I'd recently read that Chicago (a major Swedish destination in the 1920s) had so many used pris on its streets that it looked like the gutters were full of mud. The same article claimed that every major city at that time had a "Snus Alley" I think is what they called it. Love the video though.
