    So what it looks like from what ya'll have posted, Custom Labels are not needed for packages shipped within EU Countries, Northerner stamps "Chewing Tobacco" and buysnus stamps "Swedish Snus" on their labels for orders sent to the U.S. (at least).

    Anyone here from a non-EU Country and not the U.S., i.e. Canada, Mexico, etc. wanna share what's on their labels?

      I can be pretty anal about these abreviations, sorry :wink:
      EEA = EU+EFTA

      Norway is an EFTA country (not so Sweden, not anymore atleast) and folks in Norway have to pay their taxes on snus orders too.
      Maybe you meant EEC? But that's since been abolished.

      Sorry the needless interruption! Proceed... :lol:

        I've gotten maybe 10 packages from BuySnus, all marked as "Swedish Snus" and none have been opened by Customs, and no duty has been charged. So far, so good!

          Probably better if they put "Swedish Snus" on the packet because then most people won't know what it is

            Ah, well, you learn something every day. I thought that all EEA countries had duty-free borders. Guess it must be only EU, then, that you don't need to put anything on the post. I'm pretty anal about things too - I'm a physicist so precision comes by nature. Good to know, dude, cheers

                Damn skippy. I can't even mail my relatives birthday gifts because they'll end up having to pay duty at whatever rate the Customs Nazis deem fit. Example: I mailed my Dad a book that had the cover price marked in both US and CDN dollars. The Canadian price was $19.95. Customs charged him duty on a "$25 book" plus a $5 handling charge. His complaints were completely in vain. :evil:
                A pox upon them and their spawn unto the nth generation!

                  I know, man...one time I bought my old man a computer controller for his telescope on e-bay. I won the auction for like $45USD and the damned fool who posted it declared the value as $80 on the green customs tag (which was what it would have retailed for) and I ended up having to pay GST and PST on the declared value! :!: :evil:

                    Starwing- Yes, I had to pay $5.25 or so on the customs brokerage fee. That combined with the fact I had to go to the UPS building made me decide not to order UPS shipping anymore.

                      damn, that really sucks that Canadian customs rapes the citizens of Canada's pocket book so severely. Those prices are just f*cking insaine!

                        Sounds like that if you live in Canada and order only ONE can of Snus, you will get hit with fees :roll: :?:
