Before I share my thoughts on this particular snus, I need to share a dream I had last night about it....
In my dream everything was complete chaos. I tend to work in a crazy environment so relative calm can be a rare thing for me. Along with work I have 3 teenagers also, so imagine![Smile](https://www.snuson.com/core/images/smilies/smile.png)
Well, in my dream I walked up to my fridge and grabbed me a Götenborgs Rapé No2 portion and I swear that everything slowed down and instead of being in the middle of a maelstrom, I was standing in a field with a gently blowing breeze gently caressing the grass stalks. No one else was around and all was right in the world.
Interpretation? I LOVE this snus.
The Tin: If you have had Götenborgs Rapé portions it is similar but a little thicker. It is a nice tin, not nearly as nice as say a 1847 one, but still well made and the top is tight.
The Smell: When I first opened it I was hit by the lingonberry smell along with a subtle flowery tobacco odor. To me, it was very pleasing. I actually tested out my Skuf Tranbar before this one. Delayed gratification is very cool!
The Taste: Man oh man. It is a sweeter snus but the lingonberries provide the dominant flavor with flowery highlights and a slight tobacco aftertaste. It is also salty, but the salt really kicks the berry flavor into high gear.
For reference, here is a scale for sweetness that I kind of use:
Camel snus:
[-------------------------------------------------X]
Triumph Original snus:
[--------------------X-----------------------------]
Triumph Mint:
[------------------------------X-------------------]
General Portions:
[-X------------------------------------------------]
Skruf Tranbar (Cranberries)
[----X---------------------------------------------]
Götenborgs Rapé No2
[---------X----------------------------------------]
I figured I would give it a visual since I have heard others say that it is sweet. It is, but not overly.
I found that this snus is a comfort snus for me. For some reason it takes me to a calming place, which is odd since as far as I know, I have never eaten or smelled lingonberries in my life.
For me, this will be a specialty snus, something to be savored and enjoyed. I would hate to burn out on the taste, so I will use it sparingly.
If you have not tried it, give it a shot!
