Thanks, good to know. Actually, I bought a can of Montecristo portion at a tobacconist the other day. I have one in my lip right now. It's pretty good, I think, although I still can't stand when it starts to run.

I need to get more into lös, I think, as I have had no icky feelings with General lös, even after having the same pris in for a couple of hours and bits and pieces start migrating from the pris onto my tongue. :P

All in all, Montecristo portion is certainly one of the good ones for me. Updating post accordingly.

Nick and Johnny - This stuff is pure awesome in a pouch
Gotlandssnus Yellow - Nice mellow sweetness, good flavor, great daily portion.
Lucky Strike Original - Tasty without overdoing it, a real "every day" snus.
Röda Lacket White Portion - Excellent flavor, best white portion I've tried.
General Onyx - Took me a while but this one really grew on me by about the 10th portion or so, by the time my tin was empty I was sad to see it go.
Jackobsson's Classic - Great for the first hour, then the second is pure bliss, top notch.

Knox Portion - Great everyday portion snus, sweeter than the Lucky strike.
Goteborgs Rape White Portion - Hey, it's like Martini-Snus... good but not every day.
Jakobsson's Icefruit - A very interesting flavor, really excellent but just not an "every day" for me. Nice in the morning, very cool mint.
Grovsnus Original portion - Solid rich tobacco flavor, nothing exceptional but nothing at all bad.
Retro Original Portion - Very similar in taste to Grov Portion.
Ettan Original Portion - Would be a bit higher if the flavor lasted a bit longer seems run out fairly quick.
Skruf Strong Portion - A great nic hit but sacrificing some in the flavor department, i find Knox has a better flavor.
General Original Portion - Solid all around, nothing unpleasant, nothing extraordinary.

Tre Ankre White Mini - just kinda "meh"
LD White Portion - A solid white with nothing offensive about it, nothing remarkable either.
Kronan White Portion - About on par with LD White.
Goteborgs Rape #2 White Portion - A little too tart and fruity for me.

Catch Dry Cassis Menthol - Maybe it was the sourness that pulled me off this one, maybe it's the fact that my penis felt smaller while this thing was in my mouth...
Skruf Cranberry - I find the cranberry flavor off-putting, this may just be my trending away from strongly "flavored" snus.
Elyxr Peppermint - The highly artificial peppermint wears out after about 5-10 minutes and turns into absolue dirt, just horrible.
Loose:

Skruf Stark Los: Absolutley delicious, if a bit "purfume" in character. Strong in nicotine but I've not noticed excessive "burn", top notch.
Montechristo los: Despite the small cans, high price, and "iffy" availability this one is all around win. A strong pleasant taste.
Granit Los - A good stright-forward snus for everyday enjoyment.
Roda Lacket Los - A very pleasent, slightly sweet flavor.
Grovsnus Los - Rich, deep tobacco with a mild sweetness. "lish.

Gotlandssnus Gul los - Great flavor, the exceptionally coarse grind is the only thing holding it back.
Ettan - A good straight forward Tobacco-snus.
General - A good everyday snus, I'd rather have a General Onyx portion than a pris of general los though. I'm giving this one a second try.
Goteborgs Prima Fint - The mild sweetness underlying a pleasant tobacco taste makes this one a winner, however if kept in the mouth too long it does begin to get a bit of a bitter edge. Going to give this one a second try as well.
Probe Loose - Sweet but not overly so. Nothing to complain about, I'd just prefer something from the above list over Probe.
Knox Los - Tasty but a bit harsh on the gums for me (maybe it's just this can will have to give a second can a try).
Goteborgs Rape Los - Not as strong in flavor as the portions, but not bad.

Well, I have been snusing with the real stuff for about 4 days now (previously just a camel snus user) and have tried a few different kinds. I guess my tastebuds have been a little ruined by the super sweet/flavor of the camel. I am as yet not used to the saltiness of the swedish stuff. Its getting easier though.


Gotenborgs rape #1: I have my first one in right now and I like it a lot!! I think that it is my favorite so far.

Mocca: Mint and pomegranate - I liked both fairly well

Knox and General original mini - a little too salty after about a halfhour

Lucky strike white - not quite as salty and decent flavor

Catchdry Eucalyptus - its like a mild Camel Frost, I liked this quite a bit.

Montecristo loose: still getting used to loose, but its the only loose that I have in my freezer, I reaaaaallly like it, I just haven't gotten the hang of the loose yet, still too new. (I think that it is a great introduction to loose for the newbie, too bad we can't get it anymore :cry

I like very much: General (Løs&Portion), Nick and Johnny (Løs&Portion), Ettan løs, Skruf løs.

Good, but not perfect: Ettan portion, Røda Lacket Løs, Catch, LD, Skruf portion(Sterk & Original).

These aren't puke-like bad, but these are the ones I like the least: Røda Lacket portion, Skruf Tranbär, mocca, and more.

I wonder if taste buds are different in Scandinavia. Certainly the American dips have way more flavor than most swedish snus. The Camel snus made for America is highly flavored...

I like the Ettan Snus and the Roda Lacket the best.... so far.... when I tried Luckies, I hated them, but maybe my tastes have changed by now. Last I tried I even liked the Roots... (regular not wintergreen). I gotta try some more and repost... ever changing tastes....

When I went to Denmark, I noticed they eat raw fish way more than Americans. I will say I totally love Carlsberg Beer.

This will be my first post on the site, (although I have been refering to it for quite some time...) seemed like a good place to start.
These are all portion snuses, I have had no good expierience with Los.
Onyx, Grov, Goteborgs Rape, Gustavus Original. I like a rich snus, usualy with lemon or hebal character. I have also found that I like runny snus (I tend to beat the portion up quite a bit).

Goteborgs Rape no.2, Kronan, Roda Lacket, General Maxi, Tre Ankare, Gottlandsnus Green, Ettan. These are good and I sometimes work them into rotation.

:? Skruf, Gottlandsnus Yellow, Metropol, most Catch products, most LD products, Offroad Gren Apple, Nick & Johnney's . These, not so good. The Skruff burns to much in my throat and the Gottlandsnus is too rough on my gums (though, the green is worth it once in a while). I have found N&J's flavor and strength to not be worth the throat burn.

:evil: Level, Lucky Strike, Taboca. These come from the Devil (like decafe coffee or light beer) The only one I think folks might find suprising is the Lucky Strike; I think it tasts synthetic.
