I thought that was a really good idea so I got started.

if anyone is into it, I could use a hand adding all the snus varieties and writing snus reviews. I'm just working on the ranking snus interface, and recommend-a-snus function of some kind.

It's all php/mysql and a bit basic at the moment, but it might have legs, who knows? do you have a link to the rate my snus sight

Well, when it's finished it should be on http://ratemysnus.boldlygoingnowhere.org

I'm not updating it live but building it on the dev server at home.

Once the account admin is up, I'll open it to visitors if there seems to be any interest.

Of course you could use the system for rating, ranking and reviewing almost anything.

I second that! Plus the originals seem to flood your mouth for 5 minutes and then they're completely flavorless. The whites come on slowly and last a heap longer.
nah, you just lack of skill to use snus point is not to drool snus with saliva, thats how you keep original ones nice flavour but not too juicy. Whites are usually too dry.

Post this site in it's own thread, it has great potential. I tried to create an account, but it wouldn't do anything.

I will - I'm just trying to gauge the interest really, before I spend any more time on it.

I would be very interested. It would be invaluable to a new snusser trying to find a well liked brand instead of having to read through pages of contradicting reviews. I imagine it would be good for vets to find something they haven't tried, too.

                        You've got 2 problems.

                        1. People new to snus usually are very sensitive to salt and tend to pick the heavier flavoured snuses to mask the taste. What the veterans like usually don't appeal to the snubie.

                        2. People's tastes vary so widely

The way I started out is I went with the most popular snuses stuff like General and Ettan (they are the top sellers for a reason?) and added a variety from there, or you could go with the top 10 package @ Northerner. Once you've had a couple weeks under your belt then you can start to find your way through the maze.

The biggest mistake you can make when starting out is to start ordering rolls of snus and getting 10 cans of something you don't like.

Justin speaks the truth. My first order was a white portion sampler from Getsnus. The first month of snusing I could not tell the difference between General, Grov, and GR#1. The only one that was distinctive was the Roda. I am in no means a vet, but now I can tell a HUGE difference in the three.

I really like salty. I am really enjoying my new shipment of General Original portions. IMO opinion they are juicy and delicious. Nicotine lacks just a bit but the taste is damn fine. I do like the flavor of general white as well but I do prefer the flood of juice. I have ordered Qlac Qui and General Onyx hopefully they also have a fine flavor with a bit more nicotine. What would you guys recommend for a good "juicy" salty sterk original portion?

Lucky Strike and Gustavus are pretty salty, but not stark portions.
