I was a 30-year veteran of Copenhagen.

As an absolute novice to snus, my initial reactions:

LOVE:
Skruf XS Los and Portion
02 Portion
Thunder ES Los and Portion

INDIFFERENT:
ODEN ES Los

HATE:
Camel Robust Portion

Thus far, I like the more salty tasting snus, dislike licorice overtones, and hate sweet tasting snus.

-LD Salmiak Black Portion: I didn't enjoy it, but I didn't mind it at all either. I had no trouble finishing the can, but didn't feel inclined to order another.
-Ettan White: Same thing as LD Salmiak.

Hate:
-Jakobssons Icefruit: My first can, almost turned me snus it entirely!
-General Original: Most people love it. I can't stand the stuff. Couldn't tell you why. Makes me gag.

Discovering My Tastes

I have only been snusing for about six months. My first order was a sampling of a lot of different brands. I was trying to kick a five-can a day Copenhagen addiction. Snus was totally successful in kicking my habit. It only took one can. Now I am using one to two cans of snus a week versus 35 cans of Copenhagen a week. Quite a savings.

My favorites of portion snus are 02 and General Onyx black with Thunder ES in third. My favorites of Los are Thunder ES and General ES. I am trying Roda Lacket portion and Roda Lacket Los. I discovered I really don't care for licorice taste or a strong bitter taste in snus. I tried Skruf ES and loved the Los and hated the portion. They tasted totally different.

I just got my new order that contained:
Thunder ES, Loose - 20 pcs.
Thunder ES, Portion - 10 pcs.
Röda Lacket, White Portion - 1 pcs.
Röda Lacket, Loose - 1 pcs.
General Extra Sterk, Loose - 10 pcs.
General Onyx, Black Portion - 10 pcs.
02 Strong, Portion - 20 pcs.
General Onyx, Black Portion - 2 pcs. (free)

These should last me from six to twelve months.

I tried a can of Copenhagen recently and the taste was not great and was totally unsatisfying compared to snus.

Can honestly say i haven't tried that many so far, but my absolute favorite i use daily is
Grov portion original. If that wouldn't be available for some strange reason at the nearest store (fat chance lol) I'd go with
Ettan or possibly if i'm very desperate General original portion.

The others i've tried and never will bother with again is:

Granit
Kronan
Knox
Catch

Seems i have a lot of brands to try out during the year though, and looking forward to that.
But feels good to have a popular brand that works perfectly.. so far

Try Nick and Johnny or Skruf xtra stark. I get sick of the Skruf though, so I haven't used it for a long time. It's not the nicotine, it's just something in them, as I've used their regular portion as well. Here in Norway, Skruf portion is seen as a "fjortissnus", as a Swede you'll get me, so grown-ups really don't use it here.

N/J and Skruf is on my "todo" list now to try.
But are there any other brands that has the pure tobacco taste like grov? Which would be the closest to Grov if anyone knows?
Wouldn't hurt to find a cheaper alternative i mean.
