Prismaster HELP!

So my latest order just came in. Pal Mal, Retro, and Phantom Blue, all portion.

I also got some Roda Lacket Los and a Primaster. How do I use the Prismaster? Do just pack a wad in the Prismaster and jam it under my lip? How much snus do I fill it with? How do I compress it? How do I get it under my lip?

I read somewhere that there is a risk of using the wrong end? It seems pretty simple, but with everything simple the devil is in the details and I dont want to screw it up.

LOL! I just got my free Prismaster with my can of General Los, and damn if I didn't use the wrong end... :lol: Oh well, it worked out fine, but I had to clean out the hole in the inner tube...

AFIK, you're just supposed to punch it down into the can, then use the slider thingy to compress it against the bottom of the can. Then you stick it under your lip and slide the pris out...

So once you push it under your lip, do you flatten it out along your gum line by tightening your lips and/or smooshing it on the outside so you get a 1"+ line of glory? Reading other posts warning me to just leave it alone results in me having a big ball under my lip that starts to hurt. I've had no muddying problem with the post insertion smoosh. Soon enough, it turns into a nice paste that sticks to my gum, juice up a little, releases a nice blast of Vitamin N and lasts as long as I want it there. An occasional upward tougue dart pushes any errant tobacco back up in place.

Another question, how much of the Prismaster do you fill up usually: halfway on the slider or all?

Prismaster

The Prismaster is used to distribute Snus under your lip without actually coming in to contact with it with your fingers. You also remove the risk of spilling Snus around you.

Its very easy to use, just put the Prismaster in the box, press the button, put it under your lip and press the button again and you have the Snus under your lip.

The prismaster has to settings: normal and big. So if you are used to take big amounts of Snus each time you can just turn the Prismaster around and take a big portion.

The Prismaster comes with a small plastick bag.

However works for you is the right way, IMO. If you stick the PM between your butt cheeks and do a little dance and it gets the snus in the right place for you...more power to you, I say. Of course, I wouldn't use that method in public, but hey, to each his own I say!

Seriously though, the prismaster seems to make much tighter pris than the icetool, so just a light compression should smash the snus together adequately. Just remember that it has no gasket like an icetool, so rinse it out often...like each evening.

I don't really use my prismaster anymore, but when I did, I would usually just use it to compress the pris. After that, I shat it into my palm and handbaked it to the shape I preferred. I have never liked the shape that the prismaster itself produces, nor have I had favorable results when using it to insert the pris under the lip directly. :?

MY FIRST LOS: So I used the Prismaster yesterday with Roda Lacket. It was so easy. I only loaded it about halfway full and gave it moderate compression. The pris stayed together very nicely and was pretty much intact when I had to remove it.

I really did not like the shape that much. It was too big and made my upper lip stick out too much. I had it squish it down by pressing in my lip gently.

Los: BY FAR much nicer than portion. The flavors are more intense, the nik-kick is stronger and it feels much smoother on the lip and gums.

Honestly, I'd recommend trying to handbake RL. It's one of the easier ones with which to learn the skill. Just play with it a bit like with playdough, using the fingers and thumb of your dominant hand to shape it in the palm of your other hand. Try to make a little ball or a cylindrical shape. There's a video online too that's helpful. That way you can make it exactly the size and shape you want, and if you have trouble baking a particular snus, you can always fall back on the prismaster.
