    Welcome Romey!!

    Well, it's the same snus, just in a teabag type material! I haven't done it but, some here have. Don't see why you couldn't.

      I know that V2 (and I believe I read it on SM's website, but not sure on that one) states that tobacco is sifted differently depending on whether it's portion or loose.

            It can and has been done. The problems are;
            1. there's alot more bicarbonate in portion snus tobbaco. In this way, it can do more with less tobbaco. The down side is nicoteen overload when a bunch of them are combined and formed into a pris. Try to keep the pris small.
            2. There's less moisture in a portion than in Los. This will make it harder to bake and stay together once you put it in. Add drops of water and stir to moisen it up. I would also keep it in the fridge for a while to get it to soak in the water evenly.
            3. All of that being said, I have found that my attemps to make Los out of portions were shadowy comparisons to the real thing.

            Good luck and "ah, what the hell, why not..."

              From my experiment making lös out of Nick & Johnny Portions - I think it really is a dead duck in terms of making something useable. Another ingredient that makes the lös stick together (especially in Swedish Match products) is Glycerol (Glycerin) which in the UK you can buy as a sore throat remedy - that can help the snus stay together.

              But generally you have to cut it 50:50 with Ettan or Prima Fint to get anything useable at all.

              Cheers

                I just got an incredibly funny mental image of a shady snus dealer on a street corner offering high percentage cut portion snus.

                On second though, I doubt he would be shady. he probably would look like the guy from the snus instruction commercials blond hair, blue eyes and wearing a white turtle neck sweater. He would be so smooth that you couldn't help buy a quick fix from him.

                Once you were hooked though, you would be just another snus bitch. Pimping out yourself for another nic hit. It wouldn't be a proud existence but you gotta do what you gotta do for tha snus, yo.

                    Don't try to make loose snus from stark portions; the tobacco is mainly whole leaves and will not stick together.
