Ettan - wow

Since I got my order I've been trying the flavored snuses and avoided the plain tobacco ones. Until tonight.

After a beer I really felt like trying one of the standard tobacco flavors so I cracked open my can of Ettan portion. It sure smelled like fresh tobacco, unlike any of the flavored snus cans.

Once I popped a portion in, wow. It tastes just like a good cigar and isn't too salty. Even though the can is boring, what's contained within is such a pure tobacco flavor. It didn't drip too much and it lasted a whole hour for me. The nicotine buzz was gradual and refreshing.

Next I'm going to try the Grov white portion. I also have rL white, Tre Ankare, J's original and N&J portion.

I see why everyone loves the true tobacco snus. 8)

How is Elixyr original? I know a lot of members here don't like the energy portion, but is the plain one that bad?

I'm also twice as excited to try these plain tobacco snuses in lös.

i love ettan, at first i was aiming at flavored snuses then i had a can of ettan white. its good stuff, one of my staples. most people either prefer ettan or grov. from what i know ettan is saltier than grov.

I was late to try Tre Ankare, but I think it's surprisingly good. Gotta give you a heads-up on Pall Mall... You may (seriously) like it waay more than Ettan.

I also like both Ettan and Grov. Rigth now Ettan has the edge. I disliked the white portion, but the regular portion is great.

My Pall Mall's should be here today.

I think I'm one of the few people who love Ettan and Grov.

I'm also very fond of both. Ettan's flavor is better, but I love the way Grov stays together FOREVER and feels. Never tried either in portions.

I would LOVE if they made an Ettan stark los.

I have not had the Ettan, but form what you say, I think you might want to try the Lucky Strike original and the Retro. As many people suggested, and I agree, get some Pall Mall original - it's awesome.

In all honesty, i am simply amazed at how different Ettans portions are from their los.

I hate their portions, they suck.

The original portions taste like Chocolate pudding, the White Portions taste of walnuts/pecans.

The Los is one of my all time favorites if not my favorite.

It tastes of tobacco and salt, but the portions shouldnnt carry the Ettan name IMO.

I'm a big Ettan fan (portions and LOS), but Grim's right regarding the taste difference from their portion and LOS - the LOS is better. But seeing as I can't use LOS all the time - portions have to do...

Pall Mall regular is OK, I liked it but don't consider it a roll-worthy candidate.

And FWIW, my morning snus is Lucky Strike regular (goes great with my coffee!!).

Yeah Grim, you were the one tellin me about how Ettan Los was so good and I got some and I have to agree, it does taste totally different. Still a Grov man tho.

If I could have just one snus it would be Ettan Los. The Ettan portions kind of remind me of a "Backwoods Cigar" (actual brand name). Not the smoke, but the taste of the tobacco.

Ah, I remember Backwoods...kind of looks like you made your cigar out of stuff you found in your backyard. Tasted decent, though.

Ugly cigar, cheap price, decent smoke. Plus you get 5 in a pouch, so you don't have to make several trips if you're a frequent cigar smoker. What's not to love?
