Observations on Offroad Licorice and N & J Original...

I've been enjoying Offroad Liquorice Los, since I ordered a can with my last shipment. The taste is good, very much classic black licorice. It's like a dessert snus. I figured I'd like it since I love Gotland Anis Los. I enjoy it, but not as much as I did when I first tried it. The reason is not due to taste, but rather to the strange coating it sometimes leaves in my mouth.

Anybody else notice that Offroad Licorice Los sometimes seems to leave a strange coating in the mouth/throat? Personally, I suspect this may be a resultant of the actual licorice flavoring.

I've been trying N & J Original Portions, and I like the taste a lot, but they seem to be a lot dryer than other portions. I added some drops of water to rehydrate, but still it bugs me. Actually, because of this I think I prefer General Sterk vit portions, which at least are meant to be more dry.

Anybody else notice that N & J Original Portions tend to be dryer than other brands?

    Interesting observations.

Personally, I have never found N&J to bee too dry. I also haven't ordered any of it for close to a year, so my recalection of the stuff is pretty hazy.

I have never used Offroad Licorice (as I dont like licorice), but I use LOTS of V2 product. The onlt snus that has ever left that filmy coating in my mouth/throat has been Swedish Match (General & Grov Los).

You may want to try the N&J West. From what I have read, it is basically a white portion of N&J original.

according to Swedish Match N&J Original has 50% moisture and General Sterk also has 50% moisture. Maybe it's the grind or something.
