For some reason Trip, i'm not suprised. Leave it to an American tobacco company to lie about something. Or make an underhanded move like lowering the nicotine content. (not to mention altering any number of other contents) I simply don't trust any of them.

For real, what is the major harm in producing a good tobacco product, printing the ingredients and having a food grade standard???(or any standard at all) Why is this sooo faaaaacccckkkkingg hard to do for American tobacco companies.

I guess they will stick with their secret ninja manufacturing and underhanded moves while i'll stick with Swedish snus.

    Faaaaaaaaaacccccckkkkkk them.

For the record, I don't spend nearly the amount of money on snus that I did on smokes... I wouldn't put it past an American tobacco company to make their snus with lower nicotine to keep people on the smokes...

        Snus is like magic...

I smoked 2 packs a day for almost 21 years. Let's do some math here:

15,288 packs of smokes or so = $59,470 (FAAAAAAAACCCKKK!) (add another $25,000 for my wife, DOUBLE FFAAAAAAACCCKKK!!!!!11!11!!!)

        If I would have snused:

I currently use about 12 portions a day and that is pretty heavy I think..

        3,822 tins or $13,377.

Snus to me means about a 78% cost reduction and a SIGNIFICANT risk reduction.

Based on my personal usage, I can only assume that if even 10% of smokers switched to snus, they would have to either:

        A. Jack the price up accordingly. Instead of a tin of snus being an average of $3.50 is would need to be about $15.50 per tin on order for the evil tobacco companies () to make a similar amount in gross based on my daily usage.

        B. Artificially keep the nicotine so low that I would need to either double dip portions or use 1 per 15 minutes. I typically use 1 per hour and a half.

        C. Adjust to a lower income level.

        D. Recruit more tobacco users to offset the income drop.

We all know that tobacco companies are publicly traded and shareholders will hold the managements feet to the fire profit wise so unfortunately, it just looks like snus is a bad business decision no matter what for American tobacco companies.

I'd like to see uZone do an article on the delicious and wonderful Gran Prix and Tourney snus.

It really all comes down to the way america is run. It's all about profit. Tobacco companies want to snag customers to keep the profit, and in turn, they get sick, so pharmaceutical companies get rich, then they die, and the funeral homes, Headstone makers and cemetery plot sellers make money, then the kids that they raised who followed in their example and smoked repeat the cycle.

i think... that if we were to get rid of big tobacco.... all of america would crumble... (haha, longshot, but funny)

i'll stick to my snus from the "Land of awesome tobacco" that'll be my way of sticking it to the man!!

Its Newport Special Stock... basically, they take fine quality floor tobacco, and run it through a vat of Camel urine, then, a cab driver sits on it for no less than three weeks, they roll it in paper made from baby sheep, and then they package it in the trademark green box
