The NEW Röda Lacket Claq Qui - What's it like?

I'm just trying my first portion of Claq Qui now and have had it in for about 30 mins (which is usually the max I keep it in for anyway).

Portions
Look just like a regular portion - quite dark brown - a bit like a N&J portion - the material is definitely much softer on the gums than normal RL white portions.

Taste
Well - it's definiely Roda Lackety to start with but much more like the los than the portions in that the tobacco flavour is much more dominant. By about 20 mins it's almost all tobacco flavour with a hint of RL. I got a bit of lip burn which took me aback a little because I'm not used to that strength with the Roda Lacket flavour. The juice burns the throat a little like a Skruf Stark portion but with Claq Qui it's a bit less harsh.

Nicotine
This is most definitely a strong portion - I'm a pretty heavy user and am used to Skruf Stark & N&J original portions. But I get the impression that the nicotine delivery is way faster than either of these. It made my legs go weak which to be honest is something I like but haven't had for ages - not sure I'd want to use this say when driving anywhere!

Right - now just the Grov black portions which smell great and General Ekstra Sterk to have a play with! Might wait a while for the Claq Qui headspin to die down though.

So far I like it a lot. The package itself is great, very classy. The smell and taste of the snus is really nice, which is almost like a chocolate covered cherry. I haven't had RL loose for a while so I forget how the smell and taste compares. I love how the portions are regular and not white or black.

I normally don't notice a nicotine hit with portions, but I do notice how much or how little I crave a cigarette with a portion in, and with this I had no craving. Finally a new portion snus I can enjoy alongside N&J regular (which was starting to get a little worn out). Now if they make a loose out of this, I'll be in heaven.

Ya'll know I love the Röda, lös and white portion....I don't know why I'd pictured Claq Qui as a white portion, but it's certainly not. It's like Nick & Johnny sterk [the one in the round can], but with a sweet and fruity Röda kick. I have a new favorite in my fridge! Stoked to have Claq and some Julesnus to spice up my dreary-ass season here. It's been a long while since I had any new snus to try out, got plenty of old standby's in the freezer though. Not a big fan of Gron, but the Grov black is next on my "to order" list.

Well, since I had to suddenly order some more Elyxr, decided to try oujt all the new good stuff.

I ordered the Claq Qui, the General Extra Sterk, The Grov Black, PLUS the M by Mocca too. I think this must be my most exciting order in a long, long time. I can't remember a time when I am getting so much good stuff. Plus more Pall Mall....Yay for Sagedil!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

LOL, still get a thrill from snus 20 months later, that's cool!!

So, I've been using Claq Qui at work for two days. Tastes great, feels great. You know what else? The portions are full.

They're not plumped up full o'snus. It's more like evenly distributed snus throughout the portion bag. Usually Swedish Match's portions are lopsided or half-full looking. Like I always had to manipulate them to redistribute the snus to get the portion to feel nice under my lip.

The General extra strerk too seem like they are manufactured a bit nicer. Like they took a bit more care making them. Both seem to have softer, denser snus in them.

Also to me the portions are not so moist as other regular portions. I don't particularly care for juicy portions so this was nice to see too.

I'll never settle on one brand at this rate. I'm opening up the Grov Black.

After a couple of days - I can safely say that this one is a complete winner for me!

I always liked the fruitiness of Roda and wished it came in the original portions I prefer to whites. The fact that it's a great stark is just a bonus.

It's sort of restored my faith in new snus innovations which have been getting a bit tiresome recently.

Well, I am happy to report that I got my Swedish Match order today which includes a can of Roda Lacket Claq Qui - so far I have only tried one pouch, and I like it - I still got a can of Ettan and N&J open so, I kind of what to get those done before experiencing Claq Qui more. But I have noted praises posted here for Claq Qui, so perhaps I will be yet another voice to that effect.

Also new (for me) in the line of Strong Snus, I also got General Sterk, and a free can of GrovSnus Black, and look forward to trying those out this month as well - I also ordered a can of General Onyx, which I have already had before and liked.

I am happy that there are more styles of Strong Snus being released, because I like variety, and the menu items of Strong Snus in the previous years has been quite small. I've went through many-a-can of N&J since last year - I really love that - but variety helps - sometimes I feel burned out on just using one brand and style everyday for so long.

Ok, change of heart. I slept with a roda portion in and I woke up with this terrible taste in my mouth. Now I associate that bad experience with the flavor of the portion. I suggest not sleeping with your favorite snus in your mouth! Maybe it's just me... but heads up to everyone else.

Totally agree. There seem to be more and more stark portions coming out.....as far as los, new ones are nowhere to be found and the existing ones are being discontinued left and right. :x
