Totally agree. There seem to be more and more stark portions coming out.....as far as los, new ones are nowhere to be found and the existing ones are being discontinued left and right. :x
Yeah, we seem to be getting a bit shafted. V2 must make about half the varieties of los.

I third that. Skruf is not my favorite stark. I think their portion is more flavorful than los. Be nice to have General Stark Los and Roda Lacket Los!

Me too. Even though I love Skruf Stark loose, I'd love another strong loose alternative. Claq Qui and N&J would be first choices.

A HUGE amen to that captn!

          Re: Claq Qui -

This is the best of the new starks out - period. I didn't think I'd like it cuz you guys said it was "fruity." Well, it's flavored a bit, but the tobacco taste certainly isn't overshadowed (wish I could say this about Grov Black).

Woo hoo.. I finally got mine and I think its going to be my #1. It tastes like Roda but there seems to be just a touch more Roda flavoring in it. Its also definately a sterk. I got a little burn off it and a nice nic hit. Two thumbs up!

              Claq qui:
I must have gotten a bad tin. There was an overpowering smell of ammonia when I opened mine. Reminded me of my high school gym locker.
I tried a few pouches and they were very sour.

Out of my sampling so far, Skruf and Nick & J are keepers. Onyx is next on the list.

                Gowrie,

Welcome to the forum! You did not get a bad tin. You just got a really fresh tin. Let it set for a week or so in the frige. The ammonia smell will dissipate and the real flavor will come out. That ammonia is a naturally occuring thing in tobacco when it's processed. It won't hurt you but I agree it's not pleasant smelling. Let that Claq qui set awhile and try it again. It'll probably be a whole new experience. What else did you get / try?? Snus on man

Just got some Claq Qui in the mail today. This is what, in my opinion, Roda Lacket should taste like! Roda Lacket just never really lived up to it's flavor descripion in my opinion, but this stuff does. I already love it. I had been looking for something to replace Onyx in my strong portion department. Nothing wrong with Onyx, I'm just getting a little tired of it's flavor (and this stuff makes my head warm ).

If the rest of the can goes well, I'll be rollin with the Claq Qui 8)

Also like this much more than the Roda Lacket original, it didn't have a taste I enjoyed either. This has a much more pronounced tobacco taste, with just a little flavor to mellow it out, very tasty.
I would also love some more lös selections to be made available, I like the newest portion entries, but it does seem that lös is getting shafted in the snus world. I only really like about 6 of the lös varieties (General, Göteborgs, Götlands Gul, Skruf, Ettan, and Phantom Blue (damn Xobeloot and his movement-it's all his fault), would love to have a bigger selection to pick from. Hoping for some special edition lös for the holidays!!

Well, I have had a few pouches of The New Röda Lacket Claq Qui, and have to say at this point so far, it is on my list for future orders. Now I will just have to wait and see if General Sterk and GrovSnus Strong Black will be in the same position for me.

The dilemma I have with using so much Strong Snus is that when using the other ones like with 7 or 8 MG of Nicotine, they seem so weak - like jumping from a "Full Flavor" Cigarette to a "Light" Cigarette, or an "Ultra Light" Cigarette if the Snus is 'mini pouches' (e.g. 4 MG of Nicotine). I really don't buy Snus 'mini pouches', but at times, Swedish Match will send a free can or two of them to me - I have to use 2 of those when snusing ... one pouch on one side of the mouth, and another pouch on the side - oh well, it least it evens my mouth out.

I think I have developed the same problem. I realy load up my lip with los (which I prefer) and get all that nic., then I try to use regular strength portions (when I have to) at work or school. It's gotten to the point that I actualy have been craving a cigarete the last few weeks when using a regular strength portion and I quit smoking a year ago.

Agreed. I think I'm going to stick to using mostly regular portions, and saving strongs for those "have to have a cig" moments.

On my 5th or 6th portion and tasting chocolate in the background more and more. An interesting snus.

I ordered 4 cans of this based on all of your great reviews.

I find that I really cant load a lip up top with the same amount of tobacco that i do with Cope in the bottom lip.

So strong portions work for me because i only use portion, while with original portion i always use 2.

                              Hopefully ill like this.

Finally opened a tin - excellent snus! It's definitely got the Röda taste, but something else too. I couldn't put my finger on it until I read the label, but yeah, there it was - salmiak! It gives the portion a hint of a taste like salty candy. This stuff is brilliant.
