This is the best tasting portion I have ever had! Love it. The nicotine is high. The flavor is strong for over an hour. I will get more of this.
The NEW Röda Lacket Claq Qui - What's it like?

I really don't buy Snus 'mini pouches', but at times, Swedish Match will send a free can or two of them to me - I have to use 2 of those when snusing ... one pouch on one side of the mouth, and another pouch on the side - oh well, it least it evens my mouth out. :lol:

I don't know why, but the previous 2 mornings I could not handle Claq Qui - I didn't have this problem with N&J - of course, in the past month I have been using a lot of pouches with lesser nicotine, so maybe that has something to do with it. Nonetheless, I will hold off using Claq Qui in the mornings for now - it seems to be okay with me in the afternoon and evening.

There were veteran smokers that stated if the Snus is stronger, they may end up using snus instead and dropping the smoking habit, maybe altogether;
Swedish Match recognized these voices and made Nick & Johnny because of these voices. Of course, since that time, they have begun to make other Strong Snus products.

I believe the SM article I read related to people that used Snus to fill in the gaps (the times when people can't or it is inconvenient to smoke), but the current nicotine strength portions (normally 8 MG) were not enough for veteran smokers to take up using Snus Full Time.

My Claq Qui is great.
Weird thing is since seeing the Hulk with Ed Norton I keep imagining some factory worker at SM nicking himself on some machinery and spattering blood on my can.
Every time I see the splotch of red on that can it turns me off a bit now.

I'll just join the choir: Claq Qui is absolutely brilliant! An instant favorite of mine!
About the bloody stains: according to the Norwegian wikipedia Claq Qui is french for 'Ørefik' (we have almost the same in Danish 'Ørefigne'). I'm not sure exactly how to translate it to English. The direct translation would be 'Ear fig', but the meaning is more like 'Ear pinch' or 'Ear twist', you know, the classic trick from the ages where teachers were allowed to punish the kids physically.

I'm not sure how accurate that is. The words are close to French but I've never heard the phrase before. "Claque" (pron. "klak'") is a colloquialism, primarily canadian at that (it's old french), for a hit or a slap - nothing as strong as a right hook, but more like a sturdy "smack". Qui means "who". Claq seems shortened to be trademarkable - like Skruf did with their name, for example. I think the red spots have more to do with the fact that it's made under the Röda Lacket name - red label.
This kind of red spot :

Well, it's Norwegian Wikipedia ... :wink:
I had my doubts, too, since I couldn't find the exact words in a French dictionary.
If it was a common phrase I guess someone with a knowledge of French would have clarified that already.
Oh well. Good snus. That's what really matters, right?
