    Flavor your own?

Just an idea but has anyone tried flavoring some of there own snus? I was thinking bout taking some loose maybe something like prima fint since its nice and light in flavor maybe dry it out and throw in some powder fine ground espresso and maybe add a shot to bring back the moisture make my own coffee caffine snus. Or letting some mild flavor portions dry out and rehydrating them with some peach schnapps to make a peach flavor. maybe just using some extract from super market just like vanilla extract to add some flavor.

Now Granted doing this would also cut down on the shelf life a bit since you maybe just been giving mold and bacteria some more food to feast on and even though theres a ton of flavor out there I want something different. So if any one has tried this or has some idea to throw in to the pot please do so.

I agree, why not try some different flavors. I think it would be best to buy some extracted oils either at full strength or in an ethanol base. I am still looking for a great wintergreen/spearmint flavor. I have not tried the new V2 wintergreen. Anyone tried it? I would like to know if it is good.

the v2 wintergreen isn't bad. Watered down taste of skoal wintergreen, if you buy the long cut it produces a crazy dark green spit and the tobacco goes from black to light brown in a hurry. I tried to flavor my own with extracts from my local grocery store, the pepermint extract worked well with a nutral snus (ettan or grov).

I've always thought clove oil would be great on snus. If you want a new addiction, snus a few cloves with your next pris or portion. 8)

I must agree with Zero! Clove would be a phenominal spice to go with tobacco! I'm really hoping this is one of the flavors in Julesnus. If it is, I'll be buying a couple rolls.

Hmm, clove snus sounds good. I have always enjoyed Djarum Supers/Blacks, and I enjoy snus... why not mix the two?

Clove oil is a mild analgesic, but it also has antibiotic properties, which can fight off tooth-attacking bacteria, I think. Anyway, the sensation from clove oil is a nice tingle and mild burn which, mixed with snus, almost makes you feel like it's your first portion again... in a way

Sounds like a great Idea I love cloves and well definitely have to give that one a try. I think alot of the goteborgs stuff would be good for flavoring as there stuff is nice and mild and may be a good starting point. Really glad to see some of the ideas on this but has any one out there tried this or are we a bunch of crazy snus pioneers? or maybe just crazy.

Nah, we talked about in another thread - even making the snus from scratch. Subtilo found a shop in Sweden that sold raw tobacco powder and flavouring extracts, etc.
