hard time differentiating between swedish match brands!

I got a swedish match loose sampler and I'm having a difficult time tasting the differences.

Right now I have General, Prima Fint and Roca Lacket and I'm alternating them.

I guess im looking for which in that swedish match sampler are the most different and start with those.

I started with Ettan 10 years ago and now I have tryed almost every brand I know. Still I always get back to Ettan. Seems like Ettan is the one for me!

    Snus on!

I'd guess it might just take time for your pallette to get used to snus. I (and presumably many others) can definately taste strong differences between the brands - for example I really like Roda Lacket but I don't like General. Stick with it...

I've been dipping American smokeless tobaccos for awhile. I bet your right about my palette needing to get used to snus. American dips range from strong to very artificial.... snus is very natural tasting.

I do love snus and since I got my loose sampler pack from northerner it has replaced dip completely. I just need to try out some more and stick an icetool on the next order.

So far I think I like the Goteborgs Prima Fint, Roda Lacket, Probe whiskey and Ettan the best... But I really like them all. They are almost like those little Pokémon, I feel like I gotta taste em all.

If you like snus that has fixed consist like Roda Lacket and Prima Fint, you have to try Rallarsnus. It's extremely hard to get, I didn't find a single can of it from Stockholm and looks like northerner doesn't have it anymore either, but trust me, if you manage to find it you'll fall in love with it. Just thinking of that aroma... Damn, i'm drooling 8) .

Is the production closed down or why is it that Rallar has become so rare?

Last I read on a nother forum that indeed they've stopped production of Rallarsnus.
Sadly somehow some brands which don't sell enough are being replaced at break-neck speed.
Rocker snus also just got bought out and stopped making all but TWO of its snusses.

I will be ordering some more snus very soon... probably from northerner so I can pick up an icetool as well.

How do you guys feel about these...

              Loose

              Nick and Johnny
              Gotland Snus
              Skruf Stark
              Knox
              Roots Cognac
              Offroad Cranberry
              L.D. Original
              Gustavus Original

              Pouches

              Tre Ankare
              Skruf Cranberry
              Catch Dry Vanilla Coffee
              Kicks Wild Berry
Wise Citrus and Menthol White portion
              Montecristo

Any feelings about the above? I'm looking to kick a few off of the order and save them for the next time I order. I am looking forward to try the fruity/coffee/flavored snus though.

Skruf Stark = Excellent in the mornings. I recommend
Gustavus Original = this one i don't like at all. For some reason it gets really "messy" in my lip in about 15 minutes. The taste isn't too good either, i wouldn't buy but it's your choice

Tre Ankare = Pretty neutral. Nothing to get excited about but still a pretty decent snus. I recommend you try this one.
Skruf Cranberry = This one is in my top3 of pouches, the taste is simply wonderful! If it's a fruity taste you are searching, this is it.
Catch Dry Vanilla Coffee = Ok, I guess. Taste is ok but that's about it.

These are snuses I have tasted, haven't tried others from your list

That is why you don't taste much difference between brands. I had this same problem at first, then after a month you'll really start noticing sutle differences. And also, I can't stand American smokeless anymore, I bought a can of Copenhagen because I left my snus at my house on a cross town trip, and it was totally disgusting. Don't know if this will happen to you or not.
