    Triumph in Atlanta

I just visited Atlanta this weekend and went into my dip store which is a Chevron Station and they had a buttload of Triumph so I bought four cans for 1.49 each. These are Swedish Match Snus in two flavors, regular and mint. I like them! They come in the same cans with the ash tray as the other swedish match products, are made in Sweden. The cans are the same as Gotesborg or Roda Lacket or whatever. Exactly the same. They are packed nicely like the more expensive Swedish matches, packed in a circle. They are sweet and very nice! I like them! The store owner also gave me a free can of Camel Frost.

It looks like Triumph has hit Atlanta. I hope it hits Knoxville. I could use this stuff. I only wish I had bought more.

Wonder if you got the old 8mg of nicotine version or the new 4mg one.

Hi James, has that been proven about the 8 mg reduced to 4 mg? Or is it just speculation? Does anyone have an idea when the switch was made?

Complete speculation on my part as I haven't had any Triumph since the alleged switch. Maybe Mr Unloadinzone will chime in.

I like it whatever it is. What is it, cherry or something?

I'm fairly certain that Mr. UNZ spoke directly to someone in upper management of Lorriard (or whoever makes Triumph) and they verified that they had either lowered the nicotine content after consumer testing or were planning to. I forget how many mg/pouch they quoted, but it was pretty low.

Hey, at that price, who cares - if you like the flavor you can stuff 4 in and get the same nicotine as a Skruf... (sarcasm)

(I'm too tired/lazy/stressed writing this thing to go look up Mr. UNZ's blog entry on it, but I'm sure a quick search of his The Unloading Zone blog would bring up the entry!)

                what is the flavor?

What flavor notes do you find in Triumph? To me it is cherry or Dr. Pepper. Am curious what others think.

                  Sweetness...

I like the sweetness of Triumph. I can't get Triumph in Knoxville. Am curious which Swedish Snus comes closest in taste to Triumph.

IMO there is no swedish snus that even comes close to the taste of Triumph.

I've heard it tastes somewhat like Roda Lacket, but I could be wrong, since I've never tried RL... however, I'm tempted to try the new sterk version.

The tastes doesn't even come close to Loda Racket. imo

                          Triumph

to me the Triumph is way sweeter than Roda Lacket plus it does not have a licorice taste ... anyone live in Atlanta? If I had recognized it was this good, I would have bought more. I do not want to run out. Too bad I bought 7 cans of Redman Straight. I like this way better, especially for work!

My preferred snus is RL but I like Triumph even better. I actually prefer dip to RL but like Triumph better than dip.

                            Strength of Nic hit

I find the Nic Hit plenty for me. I don't like too much nicotine. I don't like skruff stark for example.
