    Bad Skruff Stark Los?

I have been using snus for about a year now and mainly stick to Skruff Stark Los. I buy Skruff by the roll and individually vacuum seal the cans and toss them into the freezer. When needed, I grab a can and toss it into the fridge to defrost before using. Never had a problem doing this up until now. My current can has a unique flavor, definitely not the typical Skruff flavor and I noticed it gave me really bad stomach cramps. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the snus even has an unusual non-Skruf odor to it, almost kind of a sweet scent. My question, do you think it is possible to get a random 'bad' can of snus like this? All the other cans that came from this same roll have been fine. It sucks cuz Skruff ain't exactly cheap! Also, thanks for having a great forum!

For portions I haven't noticed this yet. I don't do lös too much.

But yes, I actually think it might be possible, but the chances are low.

If anyone with more chemical knowledge could come with details it'd be interesting. :^D

I have run into this with Skruf Stark Los also. Just one can of a roll. Although my can had virtually no flavor and didn't pack the usual nicotine. Maybe some other brand got into the can??? Other than this case I have never been disappointed with Skruf products.

Maybe some mold got in there. I don't know how mold would change it but surely you would see the mold. Who knows.

I doubt mold could get in there, unless there were problems with the post/pasteurization process. However, I'm pretty sure they must be packed in a sterile environment for the pasteurization to remain effective? I think it's more likely the can got filled with the contents of the bottom end of a 'snus pot' if you get where I'm coming from. If it had been sitting around for a while I guess the differences in densities between the tobacco leaf and flavoring mix could occur which would definitely cause problems with taste.

If mold did somehow get in there though, you might not necessarily be able to tell, especially if the spores were black...

This said, I wouldn't worry to much... if it's still okay to use I'd just go ahead and use it
