Snus and Drinks

Just wondering what some of you drink to complement snusing.

I must say that General Sterk goes very well with cabernet sauvignon (dry red wine).

All tobacco flavored snus goes well with Pepsi.

Offroad coffee vanilla portions taste great with coffee, duh.

Must say that I have not found a beer that really complements snus. Although I am not a beer expert.

What do you think works?

I've removed most heavily flavored snus from my repertoire. I think that tobacco flavored snus goes with just about anything...

Methinks snus goes well with any beverage, flavor may be odd at times, but never really bad.

I agree with RobsanX - seems to me, the really strong flavors are there for people who don't LIKE tobacco taste, and I figure if you don't like tobacco, then why are you using it? If want candy, I'll eat candy; if I want fruit I'll eat fruit; but if I want tobacco, then I'll take tobacco "straight," so to speak. Just my own preference / way of looking at it.

i really enjoy snus and tea. hot tea. i agree with the pepsi, snus goes real well with pop. and pop with rum in it.

Go get some cheep beer from the gas station. You know the stuff.. only comes in pints, and you can get a 4-pack of pints for about two bucks? Yeah, that stuff. Pop in a General White portion (regular portions don't work as well), and enjoy.

Seriously, the salty lemony bitter flavor of General with cheep beer (expeisnive beer not as good with it, no idea why..) is fantastic. My gf, who HATES beer, even likes them together.

The only drink I really don't like with snus is fruit juice :P It just kills the flavor of the snus. I have heard this is to do with the contradictory pH values...

PS: I personally never really dug the OR Coffee Vanilla with Coffee... it seemed that the flavor of coffee OR use always stood out against whatever coffee I was drinking.. anyone else find this?

Relating to this topic, when your snus gets drenched in liquid, does it dull the flavor and over-moisturize it? When I drink with my snus, I try to avoid contact between my snus and beverage. Does anyone else do this?

Yeah, when it gets wet it definitely looses it's taste quickly. White portions will last longer while drinking than regular though I've noticed. For a regular, I usually try to have it in for 15-20 minutes before I get a drink so that I get my nic hit started. With whites I'll drink right from the start and it's usually fine.

yeah I do this when I drink beer. I avoid getting any in my upper lip area which isn't too hard. I like boddington's pub ale with ettan.

I like harp and any snus I have had with it. The tobacco gives it a great flavor.

The standard snuses go well with "beer" (Magnum-cheap malt liquor) and coffee. Retro seems to keep its flavor well with both of these, or Knox...I am referring to the portions. They seem to keep their flavor for a long time. So they last after the drinking is done. Of course they will not last if you drink more than three 40 oz beers, but by that time it really does not matter does it?

Goes along nice with a cold beer as long as it doesn't start to leak too much.
