    Snus research for MBA program

    Hello,
I'm a Swedish Match employee in the US corporate office and I'm doing a research project on snus for my MBA program. I'm also a General Onyx user.

I'd like to contact several snuson.com users who are regular snus users, to ask a few questions about the product(s) you use and why you like them.

If anyone is interested, could you send me an email with your phone number and let me know a good time to call you? It will take only about 10-12 minutes.

    I'd really appreciate your help!

    Thanks, Joe Teller

I assume you are restricting this to onshore US snus users?

Probably. I suspect there's likely a hidden congestion charge on telephone calls to London

I'm sure we could populate this thread with opinions, though, if that's of any use. For me it's simple. I like snus with mild or no flavouring - a nice quality of tobacco with complex overtones. Any flavour should complement what's there rather than kill it (see : V2/offroad, ugh!). TSNA levels are important and it would be nice to see more labeling or even just available product information (web, etc) - anything to make a more informed choice is good.

I typically alternate between Skruff and SwedishMatch for strong portions - Skruf Stark, and the new SM line (Claq-Qui and Grov Svart, in particular) fill my portion regiment. I like strong portions because I feel they're about as strong as a typical pris of loose snus and I enjoy switching to loose when I'm at home - strong portion and normal loose make for good continuity in expected nicotine per pris, I find.

For loose, though, I'd have to say that Gotlands is my favourite company. It's difficult to say what, exactly, it is that they do which is different, but especially for loose snus, where flavour is more clear and pronounced, I find that Gotlands snus is crisper and cleaner tasting, and the aromas they've chosen for the Gul snus are just stellar. I do enjoy Ettan as well, and it's probably the only other loose snus I'll buy by the roll.

Anyway, if you want to post some specific questions I'm sure you'd get a good response here. It's not traceable data, of course, but it may be more convenient for some to reply online or over e-mail.

Agree with you Zero on Gotlands. The yellow has a outstanding flavour, even after an hour and a half.

Why don't you make a sort of paper people can fill in for you? Might be easier than if people have to pay for you to ask them questions.

I'd be interested just for the fun of it if I wasn't paying for it. (US -> Norway).
