I agree about the textures completely.

I like both flavors. Both are better as loose.

For me I would stick to V2 for the Julesnus in portions. The Gotlands is bland in comparison.
For loose on the other hand Gotlands wins for grind alone. Their flavor is much nicer as loose than it came out as portion, still more muted than V2.

I didn't get any of the "weird" V2ness flavor in the Julesnus they put out. For loose it was by far the fullest can I've ever received... It was dry as hell and stemmy though. Once in the lip it holds up great and didn't slide for the two hours I had it in. The stemmy twigs were a distraction, but I used my icetool. Maybe hand baking would be nicer to smooth it out. I added some liquid to my can... The V2 portions are tastier than I can describe.

The Gotlands tastes fantastic as loose snus. I have to say I really like the texture and lip feel. I can't say I prefer it to V2 however for taste. Just different.. Gotlands' portions have never done it for me, not as julesnus either.

The V2 and Gotlands are both very nice. I can't say one is "better" than the other as the definitive Christmas snus. They each have a unique flavor of their own that works.

I got my first can of Gotlands los julesnus a couple of days ago and am so happy that it seems to taste more like the late lamented Landstroms than any other loose variety I ever tried. Similar grind, similar tobacco flavour, but different flavourings and not quite as nutty - maybe I'm just being a bit sentimental about it.

Great to try it though. I will try not to buy lots so it's a refreshing change next year this time though.
