I actually like General a lot but different people have different tastes. Many types of snus taste completely different. You will also find that once you start using different brands you may find you like one again that you didn't like before. Just make sure you try cans and not whole rolls until you find something you REALLY like.
If you like straight tobacco flavor, General, Ettan, Nick & Johnny, Skruf, etc are good.
If you like American style dip, you may wanna give Offroad Longcut a try.
Goteborgs Rape and Roda are good ones if you like herbal types.
Just keep trying til you find something you like or ask some other people that like some of the same things you do.

Basically, you are not going to find the dip-like kick-you-in-the-nuts flavor from snus.
Snus, in comparison, is far more subtle. Even the most heavily flavored snus varieties are subtle compared to dip.
What brand/flavors did you use most frequently? This info will help with some suggestions.
I might suggest that you try the new Klondike snus. It is made at the Gotlands snus factory in Sweden, but it is 100% geared towards American dippers. It comes in Long, Fine & Pouch. Flavors include Cherry, Straight, Natural, Peppermint, and Wintergreen. It is definitely meant to be lower-lipped (and has the same lip feel as dip). The main difference is the juice. You can pack a fat lip of the stuff w/ no ill-effects on the stomach.
The stuff is being test-marketed here in Savannah (and most likely down there in the Tampa/Clearwater area).
Personally, once I got used to the subtle nature of snus, I haven't been able to go back to using dip (except for the occasional lip of cope). If I get in the mood for a lower-lip, I use Offroad Long-Cut snus. The OR Long-Cut is very different from dip too as far as the flavor goes. It is far more mellow and lacks the lip-burning-eye-popping effect that a fat dip has first thing in the morning.
Anyways, there are tons of options out there to choose from. It is just a matter of finding something that tickles your fancy.

I've reduced my dip comsumption to just having a really fat lip of kodiak mint with my morning shower.
This is the only instance I've found wherein snus of any strength/flavor just can't compare to american dip. It's heavenly. Snus has effeectively replaced all other situational tobacco use though.
sorry, a bit of a change of subject.
