I prefer the Phantom Classic to OR Original.

The OR has an almost floral taste/smell to it. The PC is pretty much just tobacco and strong lemon-like citrus

You speak/type English better than a lot of people born and raised here.
lol thanks for the nice words
If you played World of Warcraft on the American servers, your typing would be better English than 99.9% of them.

On topic, I was going to ask why Swedish snus is so expensive? 2x more if crazy!

I tried offroad apple portions in my first attempt to step halfway from american dip to snus, what a mistake!

Before I had real stuff that I like, they were ok(but I wasn't going to get any more), though they didn't taste anything like apple. Then when 3/4 of the can was gone, I smelled it and it smelled exactly like tootsie-rolls, which I hate. It was all over after that.

Having more experience, I'm now baffled by the flavor that those portions had. Honestly, I just don't know how the flavor was derived, so unlike normal snus, and so unlike apple.

Anybody else have an opinion on Phantom Classic Blue. I couldn't resist the price ($1.90) and ordered a tin.

Phantom blue is like heaven in my mouth. Well worth buying a can. As I always say: It is less than $2 for a can. Try it, if you don't like it, just skip out on one coffe that week to recoup the cost.

A lot of people have taken this advice, and very few of them have disliked it . Many have become regular members of Xobeloot's Phantom Movement

I might just have to join the club.

I put (almost) all of my flavored snus back in the fridge, as I was getting sick of it, and this week I've stuck with General Sterk and Grov White portions (both of which I'm loving). But I did crack open the Phantom Blue just to try it... and oh is it nice. Even while on a "I just want tobacco" kick, I found Phantom Blue to have just enough 'berry' flavor that I wished it had more... but if it did, I probably wouldn't enjoy it as much. I like that it is not-quite-satisfying and leaves me looking forward to the next one.

The only negative (and it's a positive too) is that I find it to be a stand-alone snus. I don't think it compliments coffee, beer or red wine much. Hence, for me, it's a good snus for when I'm not doing anything else (e.g., at work in the afternoon or on a long drive).

A quick comment about Offroad Original... it was one of my first snus-es to try, so my opinion will likely change... but I did like the flavor. To me, it was like a stronger Ettan with some added citrus, and not nearly as salty as General Original. And while I liked the flavor, I found the portion material abrasive and therefore can't say that I enjoyed the experience as much as the others.

PS. I haven't yet taken the "loose" plunge (and not sure I will), so I only have 'portion stories'.

OR original is pretty clearly a strong bergamot. There are a number of sellers that mention bergamot, but OR hits you in the face with it.

In general, I agree with the folks who find OR's flavors to taste a bit artificial or 'chemical', but I rather like the OR original. Then again I like Earl Grey tea, which is another bergamot-flavored product.

As an aspiring hobbyist perfumer, I've been having fun trying to figure out just what the flavors are in these products. Compared to pipe tobacco, the range seems far wider.
