    Thanks SnusOn!!

    Hello everyone,
    THANKS for a great forum.
I have been trying to quit smoking for a long time. After sampling a few tins of Camel Frost snus during a trip to Atlanta GA I knew I had found a satisfying alternative to my normal 2+ packs a day.

I figured, like any large American corporation, RJ Renolds would probably "dumb down" and dilute this product for the domestic market.

So off to the interwebs in search of answers about snus.

Snuson.com was easily the most comprehensive and entertaining resource to be found. The inclusion of information concerning health, taste, preparation, culture, tips, and brands... along with the personal experiences of the diverse users was very helpful.

I just received my first shipment from Northerner yesterday.

I have a Skruf orginal portion in right now. I dont expect to smoke another cigarette !! ahh TO BREATHE AGAIN.

Swedesnus is nothing like I expected...which is a great discovery.

I will post my impressions, workin through my first shipment...but for now I just wanted to say hi.

I agree on every point. I knew about snus intellectually for about a year before trying it. What got me to try it is seeing this lively community of users from all walks of life.

Welcome to the forums! I was a 20 year regular smoker who quit smoking with Swedish snus. I did it gradually over about a months time.

Using snus to quit smoking is not like turning off a light switch. Chances are you will still crave cigarettes for a while. There were some times that I would snus until I was dizzy, and I would still crave a cig. I found that having a small snack or a soda would curb that urge.

Otherwise, just have a cigarette, and don't beat yourself up about it. It's better to quit gradually over a few weeks, than to give up trying and not quit at all...

Ditto on "Welcome to the forums!" I was a 30+ year regular smoker who also quit smoking with Swedish snus. I have not smoked in the past 29 Months.

          Welcome man.

I agree with you as well.

Naturally, when i first started using snus I googled it for more info, found these forums and the rest is history.

Everyone here is great and everyone just seems to be genuine and helpful.

Enjoy the new world of snus man, and keep us informed on your progress and reviews.

Welcome to the great wide world of snus!

I quit smoking after 21 years and most of that time a 2 pack a day smoker. It's been a great 3 month stint so far.

Just a tip for you..... Don't order rolls yet. I have pretty much decided on my regular every day snus, just working out the other random flavors that I want around. There are so many choices!

Welcome. I use a lot of snus and snuff, but still can't quit smoking, but I have a hell of a lot less.

Welcome to the forum Skink. What you have experienced is very similar to what just about ALL of us experienced.

And to what Ainkor said about ordering rolls. I have been doing this for almost 2 years, and I still could never settle on just a few to order rolls. I love so many that, other than my Elyxr, just order 3 or 4 of each. Still will order close to $200 worth, just many, MANY different snus.
