    Trying again

I ordered offroad coffee, elixyr, and Goteborgs rape 2 all portions. I could not use any of them except the goteborgs but I find using it is more of a chore I threw the other 2 in the trash and got a roll of redseal. I finished my roll and now I willing to try some loose snus since I have been told it is less salty and I now know better than to buy V2 products. My question is what do I need to get I'm just going to get one can and what would be the best one for a new snuser to try? Are they any that taste compairable to American dip?

I am not much of a looser, but I will say that it will be hard to find one that tastes a lot like American dip. American dip is full of sugar, preservatives and additives, whereas snus is kept fresh due to the salt content.

I am not familiar with Redseal, though. Is that just a regular dip, or does it have any flavoring? Maybe the loosers can chime in and give specific brand recommendations.

Yeah redseal is just a regular dip. Nothing special to it. I'm not sure why I got flavor snus I usally don't care for it.

Roda Lacket has a sweet liquorish flavor that is somewhat similar to American dip. Its not exactly like American smokeless, but the flavor is sweet and would probably be your best bet.

Other than some domestic brands and Wise menthol / Citrus, I don't think I have had anything that isn't salty at first. I guess it took a bit of getting used to.

Not sure what to suggest though since Gotenborgs #2 is like my precious when it comes to snus!

There is a new domestic brand called Klondik. Their loose is pretty decent, not too bad a nic hit and is a bit sweeter than any of the Swedish stuff. Give it a try, it is pasteurized so it's not like its really bad for you and you can order it online from most domestic tobacco places.

Silly question, but where do you live? Maybe you can try the Triumph.

American "dip" contains lower amounts of TSNAs than in the past. If you really can't stand snus, I would try Red Man or Timberwolf (both owned by Swedish Match). American smokeless tobacco contains very low levels of cancer causing chemicals today, thanks to technology. If you really love dip, just stay with it. However, if you're looking for tobacco that does not require spitting, I promise you will adjust to the unique taste of snus.

Yeah I can't carry a cup to school to spit in and I just get strange looks when I spit on the side walk. I cant stand when it gets in my beard either.

When I need a break from snus, I use copenhagen longcut, usually nights and weekends only. I just put it in my top lip like snus, and swallow any juice. I think its very good, goes great with a cup of coffee also.

I would look around and try to find Klondike, which is snus made for American taste. I don't like it because it tastes just like American dip, but if that's what your looking for ... It is made by British American Tobacco, and comes in several flavors and in loose as well as portions. Don't know about the TSNA levels, though.

I don't think it's BAT, at least it didn't used to be. Me though it was made by Nordic American Smokeless, a subsidiary of Taboco A.B.

I ordered a can of Roda Lacket. It got here the other day and I have to say I love it. I guess Los is the way to go for me. The salty taste is alot less than with the portions. I think I will order a roll of it next time around
