    Snusdosor!

Cool links for snus cases...for those of you have time to burn.

    for purchase:
    basic, simple design: www.slimcase.se
    cool Viking designs:
    www.jefline.com/
    http://www.handfaste.se/snus.html
Manly hunting themes (too serious for me, but someone's granddad might like them):
    http://www.ronsvelasergravyr.se/snusdosor.html

for those who are into excess, sometimes artsy, sometimes drunken excess:
    http://www.jesper.nu/bilder/dosor/

    and simple, utilitarian excess:
http://www.tradera.com/auction/aid_30692807 (scroll down when you get there...118! Criminy!)

BTW (fine print): this is meant for entertaiment purposes, and not to provide gratuitous marketing opportunities for others selling snusboxes which might compete with Icetool, registered trademark, all rights reserved.

And I thought *I* was a bit nuts to save my empty snus cans!
But nevermind, after havng seen these huge collections I'm gonna throw out most I have EXCEPT one old General can. (This after having seen the new designs of the General range at BuySnus and found them pretty gay. Have a look yourself.)

To call the design of the new General can 'gay' is an insult to gay people. That is the worst deisgn ever! Imagine, there must have been a conscious marketing decision which chose that design change over others, and found that it would appeal to snusers, and that it would sell more snus. I think that this is what bothers me more than the design itself; they had stylish, black simplicity, and they went for gold/silver gaudy striped overload. A travesty! Absolutely awful!

Is that slogan, "the one taste", new as well?

              Must be.
The only other "slogan" I've ever seen on a can of General is "Perfectly Premium" on the lid.

So, I am wondering if anyone out there who has bought one of these metal/aluminium/silver snus cases can tell me... 1) Do they keep loose snus fresher than a regular plastic 'tin'?; 2) Do they keep snus fresher than the Swedish Match-style pressed cardboard 'tins'?; 3) What is the best material for a snus case/snusdosor?

                  Many thanks,

                  TBone

Probably the single most important thing to consider is how air-tight the seal is. Keep the moisture in and the oxygen out and your snus will stay fresher, I would tend to think.

That said (and if you're reading this, Ice  ) I think a great idea to add to the icetool tins would be either an O-Ring seal (push-on style) or a rubber gasket with a screw or twist-lock (like a jar, for example).
