    portion fatigue?

having to travel for the holidays and posessing nothing akin to a snus fridge, my ettan, out of the freezer, thawed out and went into a warm car immediately.

I was surprised to find that the next day they looked like "half-white" portions, much drier and a different taste. I also kept a tin in my pocket today, and the effect was most pronounced.

I know snusheads love it cold, but what is your experience with having to try warm/room temp/fatigued snus? I think I actually like it better, which is inspiring me to buy white portions

I've had them get too warm a few times after having one in my pocket for a while. Sometimes it's alright, but I generally prefer them refrigerated and especially right out of the freezer.

I'm used to chilled and room temperature snus. When at work and school, I don't have the luxury of refrigeration. I think warm snus has a more pronounced flavor. I would say that 80% of the time my snus is warm, and never had any negative effects.

Honestly?? Been doing this so long, I couldn't even tell you the difference. After close to two years, 95% of my snus use is the non thinking kind. Just pop it in and deal with whatever is next on my list.

But, I will say that I have dramatically lessened my drive to keep snus cold. What I am not using at all still lives in the freezer. And a few snus that I just rarely use, live in the fridge. My first year and a half, I always made sure I dumped my snus of the day back in the fridge and would just go to the fridge to get one when I was home. But now, once opened, they never go back in. At night, it just sits by my bed. Typical for me is to always have 2 cans open, so a typical can will live for 3 -4 days unrefrigerated. If there is a difference in taste, I just haven't noticed.

Well I didn't even know at first that snus should be kept in the fridge... They were selling it at supermarkets and BP filling stations where they kept it near cash desks just like cigarettes. This resulted in snus getting dry and tasteless well before the expiry date. Also, even now there's still no mention that snus should be kept refrigerated on the tins sold in this country - but most stores are now equipped with special small fridges for it.

Anyway, there are always several tins lying around in my apartment in strategic places - I see no problem with it being warm.
