    Low priced snus

Anyone have a favorite low priced snus?

I just tried out level loose original and LD loose original both are very good. After trying that offroad crap and these being about the same price I was expecting a can of goat shit.

Jeez I wonder why everybody's knocking Offroad snus so much.
I for one haven't had any probs with it except maybe the non-clumping together nature of their lös type. It is though, a perfect candidate for an Icetool.
I mean especially with the demise of Metropol Licorice (which I loved), Offroad Licorice is the only licorice lössnus left.

As for LD Original (=LD red) I've had like 15 cans of it and it's a solid performer. Love the clean taste and the fact that it stays fresh longer than most. I wonder if it's as cheap as we think (gram for gram) as it holds 5 grams less than the others.

Kronan tastes awesome but dries out a little bit too soon for me and it is exactly this drying out early that diminishes the taste a bit in the end IMO.

Haven't had Level yet but I've read elsewhere that it's crap. I'm gonna get me a can first to judge for myself.

Anyone know what happened to Prince snus? Wasn't that a cheapo snus too?

Offroad loose licorice is really pretty good. Forms pretty easily when it's fresh & moist, but can be a bit of a pain if it dries out a bit.

Granit is pretty good, but the cut is very course. Almost like a mid cut American dip.

Knox loose is my bargain favorite. I've had LD gold and it's not bad, either. I agree with Craig about Kronan - it is good, but dries out too fast. I'm not nuts about Level - it gave me a sour stomach every time I used it. Never tried Offroad, mostly because their cans weigh more than other makers. Paying more for shipping due to the weight offsets the low price in my opinion.

I am trying out some Level for the first time and I think it is quite good. I also really like Knox and Kronan. The LD original is good, but having only had portions of it, I noticed that the bags are either packed really full or have almost no snus in them at all.

I should try out offroad original loose before I hate them forever. The cranberry loose had a horrible texture, strange taste and was very wet.

Even if you like offroad can you understand my dislike of the texture? It is the only snus I have tried with a texture like that. For some reason it just isn't as enjoyable as any of the others. Have you tried the cranberry loose?? That is the only flavor I have tried and I judge it on that. I love the skruf cranberry and the rape no2 but this offroad cranberry missed the mark in my opinion. I tried some catch licorice the other day it was pretty good, maybe I will give offroad another chance and try the licorice flavor.

Can you compare the offroad original flavor to another brands flavor? I would like try and get an idea of the original.

I just recently tried some knox portions from my roomate (who I've recently converted from cigarettes) and they were very good I will have to try out a can of loose sometime.

I had a can of Level loose added free to my order from buysnus. I thought it was crap to begin with, but I figured I may as well use it anyway, and before long I quite liked it. A sort of orange flavour.

              Worth a try.

Started by Marc and Patrick Vogel, V2 Tobacco began manufacturing Swedish snus in Silkeborg, Denmark in 2006, to the same exacting standards that snus manufactured in Sweden is.
