Northerner's high taxes and shipping cost?? Have you compared Northerner.com with other webshops? I paid 118 USD for 30 cans General to USA, other webshops is higher, soory but I don't know what you are talking about?

Yes, in fact, I did compare, and northerner costs more for individual cans than they used to. The order I was thinking of placing recently was cheaper with buysnus.com.
And BTW your same 30 can order of General (I assumed loose) with Buysnus.com would be $110 incl. shipping, and you'd get a free General (or Skruf) gift pack with it, so you'd have 4 rolls. No, it's not UPS for $110 (it would go up to $130), so in that respect, it might be better with Northerner. Then again, I have heard about some people having to pay customs duty on large orders sent with UPS - this would nullify any savings.
With Buysnus, those 3 rolls would count toward getting you a discounted roll on your 6th. I don't take your post personally, no worries. I like Northerner and have had good experiences with them, but for the size order I typically place, right now, buysnus is better and has cheaper taxes/shipping .

Fred is right about Northerner being cheaper for large of amounts of snus and - true - it is cheaper with Northerner if you buy 3 rolls and have it sent UPS. However, I only buy about a roll at a time. With Buysnus, a roll of General costs $43.65* shipped via Swedish Post, or over $60 via UPS; on Northerner, that same roll costs $50.90 via Swedish Post or $57.30 vis UPS. If you want it faster, or if you want bulk, I suppose Northerner has its advantages, but you don't get the same bonuses with Northerner, i.e. Buysnus gives you FREE SNUS - that's a gift I'm into - not size S or M t-shirts that don't fit me, or a General tuque. And, as per my previous post, it seems the more snus you buy with Buysnus, the more free snus they give you (free Xmas gift roll w/ 3 can order - though, I must admit that I cannot be sure that this 'gift roll' actually comes filled with snus or not).
I think everyone agrees that Northerner is best for single cans: they have better selection, and often better prices, but their taxes and shipping have gone up since the turn of the New Year. $5-6 for a single can of snus seems a bit much to me, with either vendor.

I just got a reply from Tomas at buysnus.com. My mistake - the snus boxes are just that: boxes. They do not contain snus. Well, that doesn't make any sense to me, especially since you have to buy 2 rolls to qualify for one. What good is a cylindrical box, unless you're into collecting snus paraphernalia? Looks like I will wait until they start offering free snus as gifts again. *My apologies, krugerfred.* Looks like your buy with Northerner was/is better.
Even still, it's hard to fade the 1/2 price roll...

I have tried other shops other than Northerner.com and think there are no big difference. However 52 USD for a roll of General to USA on Northerner.com? Last I paid (yesterday) was $42.00 with mail, which is the lowest price on the market so far. I will though try to order from another shop to compare speed...

Actually, $35 shipped for a roll of General, or any other swedish match snus, is the best on the web. That's the price shipped, via UPS Express, directly from swedish match.
Free gifts and half price rolls are nice I guess, but all that shipping adds up very quickly, which is why I have decided to stick with swedish match brands pretty much exclusively.Comment

Too bad the other companies don't do the sort of thing Swedish Match is doing. They do seem to offer all of the products that they produce. What I don't understand is why the discount snus (Kronan) costs about as much as the 'brand' snus. $32/roll for Kronan vs. $35/roll for General or N&J. If I could stick with just one brand (or if Kronan were cheaper), I might be buying from them.Comment
