So, I've come to realize that there are certain brands that I only like either the portions or the los, rather than both. For instance: I really love Ettan Los, but I just can't stand Ettan portions. It just seems weird to me that I can love one and despise the other. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

You are not alone...
I think most people would agree Ettan is way better in lös than in portion, but I still enjoy the portions. Grov is the other way round and I prefer the Original portions.
With Göteborgs Rapé I can't stand the portions at all, but the lös is in my top five....Comment

All portion snus has a pungent odor and flavor (varying in degree by brand). I believe it's either from the increased alkalinity of the tobacco or the odor produced when the snus is absorbed by the fibers of the portion material. Does anyone know why portions taste/smell so different?Comment
