    New SNUS user.

    Hello All.

I recently ran across Camel SNUS in a gas station the other day and purchased a couple of tins. I'm usually a smoker, but I'm going to give this a shot as a method to put the ciggs down. I just have a couple of questions about SNUS.

1.) I used to dip. For other health reasons I cant dip because of the sugar content in dip. Is there any added Sugars to SNUS? I did a little research and it seems to be no.

2.) The Camel SNUS comes in little packets. Can you buy loose SNUS? If so, do you have to spit it or does it work the same as the packets?

I tried both flavors of the Camel brand and although I liked both of them I'd like to give some others a shot. What would be a good website to order some cans? What are some good brands and flavors? I've tried most "Dips" and my favorite flavor is just plain or straight. Are their any SNUS flavors comparable?

    Hello and welcome aboard!

    1. No, there´s no sugar added.

    3. Yes, there are loose, it comes in the same tin as the portions. But you have to bake the stuff into a "pris" (round or anything you like) or like we call it in sweden "en jävel"

I would recommend www.buysnus.com and you should try

    General Portion/loose
    Ettan Portion
    Grov Portion
    Göteborgs Rapé loose

    To start with....

    Haha. enjoy!

Sounds like snus is perfect for you. I would recommend trying:

      - Ettan loose (traditional tobacco flavor reminiscent to real Camel cigarettes)
      - Skruf loose (unique, bitter-sweet flavor with higher levels of nicotine)
      - Roda Lacket loose (sweet flavor with a subtle tobacco flavor)

If you're not too hot at baking (forming) loose snus with your hands, you can purchase either a Prismaster, which is about two dollars but gets the job done, or an Icetool, which is supposedly perfect for forming loose snus.

        Welcome to the forum Mandoozle.

Definitely try Swedish snus. Way better than Camel, far more nicotine too. Both buysnus.com and Northerner.com have sample packages you can get to try a bunch out. I would suggest you try both the portions and los, see what they both have to offer you.

Welcome to the wonderful world of snus, it will be quite an adventure, I can promise you that!!

          Welcome aboard.

          I'll be honest with you.

No swedish snus will "taste like" regular or straight dip.

It's better. After you get used to it.

Think savory not sweet. Give it a few weeks, try some dip again, it's suprising you didn't notice how super sweet it was.

          Good luck!

Try General and Phantom classic for loose.
