The whole nicotine gum thang seemed like a stillborn bastard child to me from the start.
I'd group it together with those wacky disposable charcoal filter tips I saw my mom use ages ago.

Why snus, and when ?
I wanted to quit smoking.

Some norwegians colleagues explained to me what snus is, in 2000.

Google helped me to contact Northerner and other shops. I didn't order, because I didn't know if snus will be nice experience or not.

After some research, I found snus to be probably the best substitute for me and gave it a try. A colleague, former hockey player, gave me an Ettan portion on december 2006. It was too strong for me...

My fist snus-order arrived in december, and from this, I'm a snuser. The cigarettes is now history for me. Not a single once since more than 3 months, and my spouse is now starting to snus as well.

I use portions : Wise white, Goteborg Rape, Tre Ankare, Catch Licorice Mini Dry. Only dry portions, and sometimes Skruf Cranberries (but I hate the smell it takes after a week, even if kept in a very cold fridge).
And I must admit that snus is far better, tasty, and healthy than cigarette and the cancer fog it provides.

You mean that its sweet cranberry smell starts to smell differently. Kinda like flat, stale? Sounds familiar. Happened also with LD black portions. Somehow the flavoring additive deteriorates i think. No biggie. Snus more of it sooner

It smells stale, that's it. A bit like an old shower towel forgotten wet in your fitness bag, when you open the bag after three weeks...
A week before, when I open the can, it smells very sweet and nice, and taste is perfect. A week later... awful, even in the fridge all the week long. I won't snus the can faster, because it's not my preferred portion.

i had been smoking since i was a kid (about 30 years). i had never really tried to quit but i found myself smoking non-filtered camels and coughing my head off. I tried some of the gum and while it might work for some it did not come close to helping me. i figured as long as I had been on nicotine i would need to replace it and i needed to replace the "hand to mouth" addiction as well. when I was younger I had dipped and chewed some just fooling around so i knew i did not want to spit all the time.

i figured there had to be some sort of tobacco out there that did not cause spitting. well there sure was sure not anything that fit that in the states so i checked out the internet for clues. i tried just about everything out there that had nicotine in it. I spent so much money of nicotine containing things that my wife gave me a hard time about it. then one day i found buysnus.com. I think i ordered a "mixed box" of portions. the first day i knew snus was something that might work for me. i found a brand that i could handle and ordered some more of it. that was about a year and a half ago and i am still on the snus.

i would not recommend anyone starting snus if they are not already on it or a smoker. But if your a smoker and thinking about trying snus then wait no longer, go buy some now. it might be the best thing you ever done for yourself.

Never have smoked. Hate 2nd hand, but love the smell of a tobacco store? This dry-thing, pouches, hit the USA. I received a couple of samples of TaBoka and, I love menthol, so I started with the Green Flavor, which is Minty. Then searched, and studied history of Snus while surfin' when Camel released Camel Snus, in the USA, ordered some stuff from Northerner.com, Signed up with Icetool, for it's Euro imput, the rest is history. Been tryin' to kick the nicotine habit for about 9 months now.
