    Salty McSalterton

    ~~
So, one big thing that's grown on me is the fact that I actually look forward to a bit of salty flavor in the snus I use. It brought me to a question for the more experienced of you out there.

Which brand/style of snus has the saltiest flavor to it?

Now when i say salty, I'm taking this seperate from the ones that give you a bit of that old throat burn. I've had snus that has a pretty frequent leak to it, and tasted nice and salty. And I've had others with a frequent leak, that was salty, but burned the throat a bit (attributed to tobacco quality?). So which of them out there has the cleanest, salty drip/flavor?

Yep, me too. The first time I had it I thought I'd received a bad batch where someone had accidentally spilled a bag of salt into it. That was early on in my snus experience, and it grew on me, but I can still only use it a little before I need something less salty.

The saltiest loose I've had is Gustavus Original.

I probably would go that way too. But after snusing now for close to two years, really hard for me to distinguish the saltiness. Just almost invisable to me now.

None strike me as too salty now, but some loose snus doesn't seem salty enough, like Grov and GR.

I do find I like more salt in my food now though, which is worrying in a family with a history of heart problems!

I miss the salt, I can't taste it anymore either but never really thought it was excessive, being used to Copenhagen. I think the saltiest is Kronan; everyones favorite snus.

Lucky Strike Original has a great salty palate that can be appreciated if you have a lot of experience with snus. The smokey flavor and the salt compliment each other perfectly! If you can't tell, I love me Lucky Strikes.

Also, take note, that most strong snus is very salty. This includes: Nick and Johnny, General Ekstra Sterk, and Roda Lacket Claq Qui.

I've noticed that! I thought it was just the flavor, since I have not had regular Roda Lacket or N&J (Only had the strong ones). I love it, though.

I finally got around to trying Ettan Portions. The loose is absolute heaven, but the portions don't have enough salt! I may just have to add my own.

This is not the original Skruf Stark Los, but it is pretty darn good.
