Not much flavor in Ettan

I want to love Ettan....I really do. But It is just to mild. I have had a original portion in for 30 minutes and still no flavor. This is a recurring problem. I damn near have to suck on a portion to get any flavor. But when I do get the flavor man is it good. I wish these portions would run more. Has any one else had this problem. The first few portions I tried where great then....nothing. I might have to give the loose a try. I was also thinking of picking up some Grov. I hope one of these will fix my need for pure unflavored tobacco enjoyment.

Grov is a good option. I prefer Ettan. It is my go to snus. It has a nice mild flavor, that I really like. I detest the white portions for the same reason you don't like the regulars.

Lös is the way to go with Ettan. The portions are good, but they just don't do the snus justice.

Grov is good, too. A little smokier, and quite a bit saltier. And if you like Grov, then try Grov Black as well.

I'd have to completely agree with spirit72, los is the way to go with Ettan. Actually Ettan is my second favorite los. Grov is similar to Ettan but works much better as a portion.

Only twice have I liked a portion better than the same brand in lös. Julesnus was one. Grov is the other.

Hmm, I like the portions quite a bit...both white and regular. I like the los as well, but don't order it much. As has been said a million times already, I love Ettan with coffee; it can't be beat. 8)

Strange thing about Ettan, though....I don't know if it's the taste or what, but sometimes I've caught myself practically eating the portions if I've had them in for a while. It's almost a compulsive thing; maybe because they are so salty? :?

I had a similar experience with Ettan. I also remember feeling the pouches were distinctly underfilled. But the taste was really nice.

Ettan portions are great, but the salt content is too low! I hope Swedish Match raises the level, because the portions are just too bland. Try Ettan loose; the flavor is much better because the salt is 5%.

After going through half a roll I am starting to see that it is hit or miss. Some portions are great and others are way to bland. I dont know maybe it is all in my head. Either way I will be ordering two cans of Los next time.

Ettan portions are bland in my opinion too. The lös is only slightly better. For a pure tobacco taste in lös i prefer Göteborg's Prima Fint over both Ettan and Grov.

Yeah I really like the Etten portion because it has a lot of flavor. Maybe you got a bad tin?

I don't think so. I've noticed that white portions in general tend to cut back on flavor, I guess in order to make the overall flavors (from what you can get) last longer.

I've just popped an Ettan WP for my first snus of the day and can taste a bit of the Ettan flavor, just not as much as I had with original portion.
