I love OR Cranberry Loose; it's one of my two favorite snuses. I just got a can of the strong portions yesterday, and I agree: they're pretty good. Granted, the portion material is not my favorite, but then, I don't really like portions in general compared to loose. I definitely recommend the loose. In my opinion it's superior to the portions. I think what matters most is to do the snus that you like.
I think that cranberry is one of Offroad's best snuses because it is not overpowering, it blends naturally with the tobacco, it's very unique but still classic, and I personally can use it all day.
Have you tried Skruf's tranbar portions? I haven't tried them and I'd like to hear how they compare for you.

I've just started using OR Cranberry and Apple and I have to agree that the Cranberry is really good. Unfortunately the pouch can be pretty rough on the gums and there's next to no tobacco flavor, at least as far as I can taste, but the Cranberry flavor is great once you get over the slight cardboard taste OR snus seems to have. I might get flack for this but I actually perfer it over Roda Lacket, although Claq Qui was good but just too peppery for me.

It's got a nasty aftertaste, the portion material is bottom line.... For a product as cheap as snus, there's no such thing as good enough for the price. Saving $1 on a tin of snus isn't worth it for a sub par product. For what amounts to a luxury item, it better be a luxury. I don't settle for sub par beer, whisky, or cigarettes, I certainly won't for snus.

I have a special relationship with Offroad. Starting with my third ever order of Swedish snus so long ago, I used both the Offroad Strong Licorice and Strong Cranberry for about the first 2 months of my snus usage. I was extremely poor at the time and needed the strong snus as I made the transition from cigarettes.
So Offroad will always have a warm spot in my heart, and I will buy a can of Strong Cranberry about once a quarter just to remember fondly.
BUT....
It has a very distinctive aftertaste. And I just think other snus tastes much better for everyday use. But you have never seen me post something critical about offroad, just perhaps a warning when appropriate that it does seem to have a kind of "off" aftertatse

I'm no fan of Offroad. A lot of guys are talking about the aftertaste, but I find the whole taste effed up. All the varieties I've tasted have a bitter, acidic sameness to them. Not only does it make them taste awful, but they tend to give me hiccups and heartburn. The portion pouches tend to open up quite frequently in my mouth also.
On the upside, though, I keep a Hot Honey on hand because honey flavored snus is such a brilliant idea.

Just saying.
I have the fortune of having a huge cache of snus in the freezer. Good thing too... My paycheck last week was $18.10, and my check this week will be the same :^/ I'll quit using tobacco if it comes to me lowering my standards. If I'm not completely enjoying a product that isn't necessary, there's no point in wasting money on it.
