The new snus is awful

Jakobssons, Ekstra sterk general, claq qui

These new blends I've tried, have made me an Ettan portion/general strong/ skruf stark lifer. Ettan, and skruf was my first snus trial, over a year ago and i see no reason for change. Find a good product and stick with it... too bad i looove new stuff.
Anyone else think the newer snus is garbage? I'll be very hesitant to try anything new after trying these particular brands.

I am new to snus so all snus is new to me but you singled out my favorites thus far: Extra Sterk and Claq Qui. I am trying the Jakobssons Green right now and find it really good too. Funny thing is Ettan is one of the two snus portions I have strongly disliked, I guess there is a reason for so many flavors.

Not a fan of Jakobsson's or Claq. I like General Ekstra as a once in a while, strong flavor snus.

claq qui is awful?? Whatever. I suspect you will find you are in a distinct minority on that one. Most of us who have tried it are quite happy with it.
Snus is an individual thing. There are a few snus that many people have listed as a top 5 that I don't care for.

If you are happy having a small rotation, that's great for you. Me personally, if I overuse any snus, I will grow tired of it. So I have developed a strong taste fr at least 15 different snuses that I cycle through.

But that is just me.

Yeah...I think you've pretty much identified that you dislike ones that almost everyone else likes. You're not going to get that many people agreeing with you.

I'm not really fond of any of those; Ekstra Sterk I haven't even bothered to try because I have zero need for that strong a portion, so no one has to take my word for that one. I prefer Gotlands Yellow over Jakobssons, and regular RL over Claq Qui.

I definitely would not call them garbage, though...those may just be flavors that you are not used to yet. Everyone has slightly different palates when it comes to snus.

I've only purchased one can of Claq Qui. I don't use it often, but I wouldnt say it is awful. 2 portions at once packs a nice kick, and the fruity undertones are very similar to the peach-like flavor that I like in the Triumph Original.

Claq Qui and N&J are my go-to portions after lots of experimentation.

I like General Ekstra Sterk, but I can't use it all the time. I haven't really tried any other strong portions to compare though.

I too dislike Jaccobbsens (sp). I don't care too much for their entire line, save the gray.

CQ is just about the most unique snus I've had and I love it. It's an evening snus for me.

The GEXS is my only roll snus. It has a very balanced flavor that is extremely long in the lip. I feel it has a much more subtle, elongated stark quality than the GSterk and much, much more gentle than Skruff.

Actually, out of the 10 or so non-General portions that I have tried so far, Jakkobson's is my favorite by far...

To me, at least, it seems to be an ideal middle ground between regular and white portion (I wonder if anyone else sees it this way?). It has an almost instantaneous and level nicotine delivery, but the wonderful mellow flavor doesn't develop until nearly an hour into use. The result is a great snus that can easily last 2 hours or more. The only real downside is that the can has 20 pouches rather than 24.

Of course, I'm still working on my frame of reference. I have yet to try Claq Qui or Skruf Stark (the unopened cans are eagerly awaiting rotation in my fridge), so maybe my opinion will change once I try more snus.
