    Ettan and Grov thoughts

I just got a tin of each today along with General Wintergreen and Catch Eucalyptus. Original portion on the Ettan and Grov, portioned white with the General and Catch Initial thoughts on the former two.

Ettan was a mellow strait tobacco flavor with a little saltiness and smoke. The taste isn't overpowering or too strong; it's milder and mellow and lasts for a while; I had mine in an hour before I took it out to go to lunch and it still had plenty of flavor left. Some say that Ettan doesn't have much flavor in it, but I have to say otherwise. It might be that I'm new to snus, but I found it had plenty in it. It reminded me somewhat of when I dipped Copenhagen: strait tobacco and some smokiness to it. And it gave a good nic buzz for me, which reminded me not to pop one of these in unless I've recently eaten.

Grov had a more robust flavor to it. It was strait tobacco with a slight twist of citrus and pepper for me. It isn't too salty, but definitely tasted more of it than I did with Ettan. It reminded me of a more mellow version of General, which is good because I find General a little overpowering. I just put this pouch in 30 minutes ago, so we'll see how this turns out. So far I'm enjoying it though. This and Ettan are definitely a change of pace from the Catch I've been using regularly, and reminds me a lot of the Copenhagen I used to dip and enjoy. I think I've found my two new go to snusses.

Most people will tell you that they either like Ettan or Grov; only a few like both equally. I'm an Ettan man, myself.

I like Ettan because it just has a simple, old-school taste to it. I guess "spartan" is a good word for it. I'm not much of a Grov fan pretty much because of the tastes you mentioned: I just don't like the peppery ones that much.....I'm not much for the feel or taste of the los, either.

Both Ettan and Grov are on my list of snus that I order every 2 weeks. I usually start the day with Nick and Johnny or General sterk and during the day enjoy Ettan, Grov or retro. Every now and then a Gortenborgs to change up a bit.

It's always tasted kind of nutty to me. That's one of the reasons I like it with coffee so much.

It kind of reminds me of Padron cigars, for anyone who's smoked them. It's one of the reasons I'm finding I like Ettan so much.

I'm an Ettan man. Portions, loose, doesn't matter. Grov is pretty good too, but for me it's a change from Ettan, one can in ten will be Grov.

I like Grov, but I think I prefer the mellow strait up tobacco flavor of Ettan. Grov reminds me of General with some citrus in it, which was what I wanted to avoid. Afterward the citrus taste softens and fades I find myself liking it quite a bit. I think I may have to order more snus early now to keep this well in stock.
